Hi

I know this has probably been asked a fair few times so I apologise for that but since folks came up trumps here last year for tips and tricks I thought I would ask this one.

We have been to Orlando on five previous occasions and last year we stopped on the SR 535. Great location next to our fave restaurants and close to Disney etc.

We have not booked up this year since we did not think we could afford it however it looks with some saving we have done it 'might' be a possibility. :thumbsup2

I would like some advice on which is the best way to book, we have always gone from Newcastle to Sanford and booked via our local Thomas Cook. (I will fly from Manchester is that is a better option.)

Just wondering is this the best way or is it best to book flight separate and then hotels etc? We have never stopped in a Disney hotel is this a good idea?

We will be going during the 6 weeks summer holidays.

Many thanks for any tips and tricks. :D

well if you are going in the summer holidays it might be worth looking at a Disney property as it could save you precious hours not travelling, parking etc. Their transport despite what others may say is pretty fantastic and makes the whole trip less stressful! The summer holidays are busy so the longer you have in the parks the better and will make sure you get to enjoy the things you want to see and do

As i'm more london based i'm not sure how your flights work but virgin now do a flight from manchester direct to orlando airport- again will save you some time rather than Sanford!

Booking wise I have always gone through an agent as they tend to offer the better deals and also it means its all done and less stressful. I have looked at booking seperately but it has always come out as more expensive but it might be worth comparing the two prices as you never know!

Plus if you stay on Disney property and book accommodation and tickets as a package in a moderate hotel, you get free Disney Quick Service Dining Plan (this should be available also if you book a traditional package with flights as well). You will need to book your accommodation/tickets before end July to qualify.

Also note that there is a further offer on Old Key West and Saratoga Springs which are classed as deluxe properties, so you get the Table Service Disney Dining Plan, but the studios were (and should still be) on offer for the same price as a the moderate hotels (i.e. a 42% discount).

If you use Quidco, you get 4.5% cashback on your booking is made with Disney UK.

With regard to flights, many people are finding that flight prices are still quite high compared to previous years. You really need to keep searching some of the flight websites on a daily (or more frequent) basis. Try Tampa as an alternative destination as it can be cheaper than Orlando and is only about an hour's drive from Disney. May also be worth checking flights from Edinburgh and Glasgow as well as Mancester.

There are also rumours of a possible imminent BA Club World sale, so may be worth signing up for BA's newsletter.
