Best way from Epcot to MGM

Does anybody have an idea of what would be the quickest or easiest route to go from Epcot to MGM? We are having breakfast with the princesses in Norway at around 8:45. Since there isn't much to do in Epcot with 2 three-year-olds, we were hoping to head right from Nor to MGM.
I was thinking that the Boat would be quicker and more pleasant than the bus but wasn't sure.
Any help would be appreciated.

Definitely take the boat. You will need to get to the International Gateway entrance to EPCOT and can take a boat from there to MGM. There are no direct buses from EPCOT to MGM and the EPCOT resorts rely on the boats as well.

If you feel like taking a (long) relaxing stroll, you could walk all of the way. It would give you a chance to see the Boardwalk. It would probably take you about 40 minutes (15 to get out of Epcot - you will have to do this anyway, and then 25 minutes to walf from EPCOT to MGM).

the way to go on bus is from mgm go to the tc (transportation center)if you have young children ride the monorail to epcot and ride with the captain you could ride the bus from tc to mgm to

I agree with BAST. Plan on taking the boat - those 2 three year olds might be able to make the walk okay, but the most interesting thing to see between the Boardwalk and MGM is the canal, and there's no railing! I can see them wanting to look into the water, or waving at people on the boats, and falling in! And even if they do make it, they'll poop out earlier at MGM.

So, plan on walking to the International Gateway and taking the boat. You'll go to the Yacht Club, the Boardwalk (the order of YC and BW may be reversed, I can't remember), the Swan and Dolphin, and then to MGM. It's a nice ride, and the captains are usually fun too.

Hope you aren't skipping everything at Epcot - your three year olds should enjoy several of the Future World attractions.

There are buses from the front entrance of Epcot to MGM. I think park to park buses run at 20 minute increments? I actually think the bus might be faster although not as scenic. The boats are slow....!

I agree that there is not a lot at Epcot for little kids ~ however, if they love Finding Nemo ~ The Living Seas pavilion is now all based on the movie. I hear wonderful things about it and it may be something you want to do before heading to MGM.

Just a thought :flower:

It depends on where you are in Epcot as to what mode of transportation to take to MGM.

If you go to the Living seas after your breakfast, take the bus to MGM. If you want to go to MGM right after breakfast, it will probably be quicker to get to the boat, but the boat will take 20-30 minutes. The bus will take about 10 minutes.

If you have a stroller, you can walk across the Boardwalk, which is very scenic, and then catch the boat at the Swan/Dolphin dock. It goes straight to MGM from there.

BUT I have to say that Epcot is one of our favorite places and we have two toddlers. In Future World, you definitely want to go to the Nemo room at Living Seas. They also have a Nemo Character outside at intervals, beginning at 10 a.m. And don't miss the new Crush attraction. Our kids also like Imagination with Figment and visiting the "Igloo" with the different flavored sodas. If you have time, you might want to go on Spaceship Earth. At 11 a.m. the World Showcase opens, and that's my kids' favorite spot. They love the Kidcot stations where they can color masks and just being able to check things out without having to wait in line. There are lots of character opportunities in the backs of the countries.

I agree - Epcot has tons for little ones. My son loved it at that age.

We've always taken the Friendship launch on the Epcot/MGM trip. It is a slow, relaxing journey & I think it's beautiful. Wlaking it seems to take about the same time, but with little ones, it might be a bit too far.....

Thanks all for the tips!!

I figured the boat was the way to go, but now that I know about the Nemo theme at the Living Seas, I have to think about that too.

Thanks again!

My kids have also enjoyed Epcot. Spaceship Earth is one of my daughter's favorites (last trip she was four). My son likes the dinosaurs in Universe of Energy.
