What are some of the best ways from the Disneyland hotel to get to the park entrance? I read there is a new Pixar Place entrance to California Adventure – – can DLH guests use that?

The monorail used to go from the Disneyland hotel. Where did they move the monorail entrance to?

Just walk over to the entrance to downtown Disney?
And the monorail didn't move, the footprint of the hotel did.

There is a monorail station very close to the DLH. But I don't recommend using it at rope drop. It doesn't start operation until park open and if it's down for some reason, you'll be behind tons of other people already at the park gates.

Initially, the best way is to walk through Downtown Disney and enter through the main entrance turnstiles. If you are coming and going, you can take the Monorail from Tomorrowland to the DLH. If you are at the far end of DCA, near Paradise Gardents, you might use the Pixar Place exit to walk back to DLH.

You can walk right down Downtown Disney, or take the monorail. When we stayed at DLH we used the Pixar Pier entrance a few times with no issues.

40 years ago I lived in an apartment just to the east of the hotel. I would walk through hotel grounds on my way to work each day. What is now Disneyland Drive was West St. The Monorail station had never moved - the surrounding area is unrecognizable.
