I'm not sure if we are even going to visit a water park on our trip as we aren't really water park people. There is no way that we would go to two. So, I was wondering if you could tell me which water park you preferred: Blizzard Beach or Typhoon Lagoon and why?

So I will not even think about doing Blizzard Beach!

But last year when we were off site, I had old hoppers that had pluses left, so DD and I went to Typhoon Lagoon! We had such a blast!

The wave pool was so much fun! The water slides and the best part was the snorkeling! I could not get DD out of there!

Our preference is BB. But, my daughter and I love thrill rides and that could be why we prefer BB over TL.

Note: BB is the second best water park, and the most visited one in the US.

You don't have to be water park people to enjoy either one.

Give it a try......and have a BLAST ! :cool2:

My family loves Blizzard Beach. My opinion is also based on the fact we have never been to Typhoon Lagoon

Typhoon Lagoon!

The huge wave that goes by is intense. It knocked me over, and I was waaay toward the back. :earsboy: :earsboy:

I'm voting for Typhoon Lagoon only because I haven't been to Blizzard Beach. The giant wave pool at TL and Shark Reef are very cool!

I would definitely say Blizzard Beach. I've been to both, but it seemed like BB had a lot more to do, not to mention the slides were a lot longer. I was kind of mad we couldn't get to a water park on our last trip, but oh well!

We have been to TL 3 times and BB 2. I like TL better because:

The wave pool has big waves every half hour and BB only has small.

The lazy river ride at TL takes you past some awesome tropical foliage while BB just has snow and a cave that drops freezing cold water on you.

TL has the snorkeling, or you can just go down into the observation area to see the fish.

My 4 year old liked the TL kiddie play area better than BB

We are from Ohio where there is aleady too much snow.

I like BB better because:

The family raft ride is really fun and my 4 year old was not afraid to do it since he was with us.

You can ride up the mountain on a chair lift.

So, if I could only go to one, TL would win by few hanging chads.

I like TL better, but I "think" I've been to BB much more! Hmmm. I love the tropical foliage at TL. I live in New England and usually I've had it with melted snow. Who would want to see more melted snow even if it's fake? OK I'm trying to forget it snowed ALL DAY here today (little accumulation, but I still had to scrape the van off after work--chilly!!!).

BB has that awesome family raft ride--Teamboat Springs, and the chair lift, but TL has the wave pool and the Shark Reef.

Maybe I just have post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) from New England winters, but I love TL more. Give me inner tubes and Castaway Creek!

Another vote for BB here. We're from California so we love the theme. I don't think you can go wrong at either to tell you the truth. Although I prefer BB I have nothing negative to say about TL it is wonderful also. It comes down to personal preference.

TL is my fav because I love the giant waves. And for the same reason others have mentioned, I don't want to be somewhere with "snow" while swimming. Even if it isn't cold out it seems cold to me. But, teenagers seem to like BB better so if there are teens in your party you might want to go there.

Our gang has been to both and we preferred Blizzard Beach. Typhoon Lagoon was nice but did not have near the amount of rides as BB.
BB also has more intense rides than TL.
BB has the family raft ride that is FANTASTIC!!!!!! The kids 7, 5, and 4 were able to go on with no problem yet it was still exciting enough for my husband and I. Our gang went so many times that I lost count!
The lazy river is also great to relax on after lunch.
Both parks are nice--If you want to have calmer rides and go snorkeling do TL. If you want excitement do BB.:earsgirl:

BB is best because it looks like so much effort was put into its design. TL architechture is great but its made to look like an old lake water park. It is still fun also but more of a relaxing place and more of a beach atmosphere.
