Best Water park for first timers?

Either Typhoon or Blizzard Beach are good options, When my sister and I were their age we preferred Blizzard though.

Blizzard Beach has the pre-teen section :thumbsup2, great slides-race against each other- and a super family raft ride.

Typhoon Lagoon has the wave pool, swimming with the sharks and Crush 'n' Gusher "rollercoaster". Stay away from the family raft ride :p

Ask the boys which they would prefer...check the Disney site to see the videos of the two.

For us we loved Typhoon Lagoon because of the "tropical getaway feeling". It almost felt like a whole different vacation on a sunny island away from the hub-bub.

Once the kids were older BB was tons of fun.

ok, will do and thanks. What's the problem with the family raft ride? ;)

We like both but I feel like there are more diverse options at Typhoon Lagoon.

Unless it's changed recently, you get to carry your own raft up the stairs while in line at TL. BB you get the raft at the top of the ride. For kids 9-11 yrs. I'd vote for BB. Ski Patrol is great for those ages, plus they're big enough for most of the other rides/slides. The wave pool is much tamer, so nobody's getting knocked down and scraped up by the rough bottom of the pool. I think the lazy river is a little longer at BB also.

The are both awesome! You really can't go wrong with either one! ;) The kids will have a ball!

We personally enjoy Typhoon Lagoon! I love the “beach” atmosphere, slides and most of all the snorkeling/swimming with the sharks. I can lay on the beach all day at TL and I feel like I am at the beach. It is really a great break after a few days in the park!

My son is 8 and he likes Blizzard Beach the best. He can stay and play on the icebergs all day. He also thinks the chair lift is the coolest thing ever... :rotfl:
They are both very nice - no choice you make would be a wrong one. My son would still be thrilled if we went to Typhoon Lagoon. He loved the fort area and all the water shooting guns. Have a nice trip!!

::yes:: That and the fact that the ride is like 10 feet long at TL. BB seemed a much nicer ride-and a bit deeper so those of us, er Pooh sized, didn't spend those 10 feet cruising against the bottom, literally. :rotfl:

My vote has got to be for Typhoon Lagoon; the wave pool is just too much fun! Plus, just the winding trail you have to walk on before the view opens up to the whole park...it's very cool!!

Blizzard Beach does have the tallest slides, though.

Either way you'll have a blast!!

Bob.

We always cant decide but its definitely between TL and BB. As previous posters said the BB family raft is terrific. But my kids love that wave pool at TL. It can be a workout in and of itself. Last spring my kids were 14, 12 and 9 and i have to keep a sharp eye on the 9 year old because its very deep if you go out far.
