Best village at the CBR?

We will be staying in the CBR this July. WE have three children, ages 6, 3, and 1. Which village is the best to stay in. We would like to be close enough to the OPR, but at the same time we would like to be close to the playgrounds and bus stop. I.E., what is the best place to stay with 3 small children - where we wouldn't have to walk long distances to get to things?

Thank you for your help.

:wave2:We'll also be at the CBR but in August. Martinique and Trinadad are the closet to OPR where the food court, marina, and main pool are. We'll be staying across the lake at Aruba because our boys want to check out Parrot Cay and because our youngest (bless his heart) likes the pink buildings. Check out http://allearsnet.com/acc/faq_cbr.htm. Click on Photos and you'll be able to see some of the resort pics as well as a map.:wave2:

I don't know which is the best but I can sure tell you which one is the worst!! If they try to put you in Barbados do whatever you have to to get moved. We were in that building in October and it was absolutely terribly located!! It took us at least 20 minutes to get to OPR and at least 10 minutes to get to the nearest bus stop. They were unable to move us to a different building but I don't think I complained loud enough, I'll know better next time!

Martinique and Trinidad North are preferred locations costing extra.

Jamaica and Aruba seem to be popular and are on the other side of the lake.

Trinidad South is the farthest away from OPR.

safetymom,
Hi. I was Just wondering if you ever put up those new pics you were going to put up.
I have looked at your photos alot(they are great by the way)but I dont think I saw anything new.
If you have it just might me....I think after two kids and nine grandkids my mind could finally be going.

Sorry about that. I have been busy moving into the new house. I do plan in the next week or so to post them.

Since I live so close to CBR now is there something you want to see? I can always go down and take pictures.

We stayed in Trinidad North and loved it - I think building 30 or 31. The bus stop was a very short walk across the parking lot - seriously - it didn't take us one minute to get there. I would think with three small children it might be worth it to pay to stay in one of the preferred locations. We LOVED CBR! You'll have a great time!

Thank you for all your replies.

How far a walk is Jamaica to OPR? I like Jamaica since it has a playground I think I will be there quite often.

Jamaica is just across the bridge from OPR. It shouldn't take more than 5 mins to walk across the bridge.

I stayed in Jamaica, I think it was building 43. It was the perfect location, short walk to the bus stop, quiet pool and beach and a 5 minute walk to OPR. If I go back to Caribbean Beach I would request Jamaica again.

I also stayed at Jamaica. Bldg 45. First floor.
Just a short walk to the quiet pool, bus stop, and parking lot.
You can take any bus at the bus stop to get to OPR.
Or it is a pretty walk across a bridge and a small island to get there.
With your kids ages, I would definitely request a first floor room! It makes it a lot easier after a long day at the parks!

Safetymom, hope your move went well! How are things in sunny Florida??? You certainly aren't missing anything back here in cold snowy PA!!!

I feel like I have been living in FL for a lot longer than 2 months. I sure don't miss the snow.

It is great being able to go to the parks whenever we want.

Thanks for the offer , I will be going there in June and I always wanted to stay there, So I cant seem to get enough pictures of the place.
The way this winter is going,(another from Pa. here)-17 degrees last night, Thoses pictures help me remember that there is warmth to be had, Just a little south of me!:sunny:

I'm another "you're stuck in PA" (for the winter) person Dalpal. I am sooooo looking forward to the CBR.

Safetymom: I'm hoping I picked a closer area to OPR. My littlest one is dead set on staying in the pink buildings so I figure we'll ask for 55 maybe? Have you stayed in Aruba?

Yes I have stayed in Aruba. It wasn't a bad walk to OPR. We also had a great courtyard room. It was great walking out of the room to sit at a table.

I have to disagree with this one. We stayed in Barbados 15 last Aug(bad stay at ASMo, switched to CBR & took what they had open) Our room was wonderful, we were steps away from the Barbados pool, our room faced the lake/playground hammock area, it was so prettyyyyy! It the walk to OPR was defitnely under 10 minutes. We enjoyed the walk at night quite a few times because we caught the fireworks from Illuminations during the walk to the main pool. We loved CBR!::MinnieMo

We stay at CBR all the time. All the areas have there own bus stop. We like Jamica. It is not that bad of a walk from the OPR or the main pool.

Jamica is a bout a five minute walk from OPR. I really like jamica, it seems like it is the first bus stop.

I have not stayed in Trinidad north, but trinidad south is quite a haul from OPR.

In October we stayed in Martinique, and the building we were in was farther away from OPR that when we stay in Jamica. If you get Martinique, get in Building 25 if possible. It is right next to OPR.

Hope that helps a little.

Hey,
Trinidad North building 31, I have requested (preferred location).Paying the additional charge. What are there colors? also, I have read that building 31 is a smoking building, The whole building?
I do not smoke, Will it have a strong cigarette odor? One more question, Are the colors in the rooms all the same( walls, furniture etc), or do different islands vary inside as well as out? I know I'm asking petty questions, but I can't deal with cigarette smoke, nor my children.

TIA Peylog

68 days left!!! YEAH!

All the rooms in CBR are decorated the same. No difference between villages. Why not ask for Building 32? It is right next to 31. Have stayed there many times and the walk may only be slightly longer.
