Best viewing locations for HarmonioUS?

Jumping on here - can you view the ring straight on from the back? Close to America?
Not "straight on" because the rather wide American Gardens Theater (#11 below) is in the "exact center" of the Lagoon in that side.
But, there can be limited "nearly-on" views on the south end of WS.

Just following along because this is my question as well. What was great about Illuminations was that essentially every spot around the lagoon was a good spot, minus any trees or light posts that might be in your way. I never did a dessert party or reserved seating for Illuminations because it was so easy to find a good spot on your own, and even if you weren't staking out a spot 30 minutes ahead of time you most likely could just stand around nearly anywhere and still get a decent view. I never saw Epcot Forever but it seemed true for that show as well. Hopefully Harmonious will be the same!
I hope it's the same.

I was there on the "sneak" preview Sept 28. Referring to Robo's map I was between Morocco and France just to the left of the boat launch. There's a little, kind of narrow walkway right on the water. People can't crowd up behind you so that made it nice and no one directly in front of me.

I wasn't even aware there were projections on the wheel so I didn't feel I missed anything. It was a great spot.

We were there oppening night and it it was hard to find a good spot to view with the crowds.

Any updates now that the show is running??
We watched Sunday night from Canada, between the big boulder and the booth that is there, basically in front of the big totem pole and Canada Far and Wide. It was a decent view! I wish we'd moved over more, closer to Refreshment Port and Port of entry, but for people who rolled in at 8:55 for a 9:00 show it was a great spot.

I also loved the show and thought it was way better than Enchanted.

Disney totally ruined the view on the World Showcase Plaza side between the two gift shops. You used to be able to watch it from the railing but now its all blocked off in front of the stage with the signage for Festival of the Arts on stage blocking your view of the screens/fountains. No idea what they were thinking.

We were there in October and that area was clear and was a great place to view. Sad to hear its not blocked. I expected that area up front would be dessert party paid access.

I watched it a few times on my visit earlier this month. I would say the best place I viewed it from was near the twin gift shops. From the sides you miss the projections on that Stargate thingie.

sorry haven't been to WDW yet ... what are the twin gift shops?

So are the projections on both sides of the barge things? You could see them from either side of the lagoon?

what do you all mean by stargate? i saw the show once, stood over the bridge by france. we didn't want to go further then the bridge because we were taking the skyliner back. it was a soso view. we were many rows back, i am short, there was a pole or two , a tree or two, and somewhat far to see.
any views on the rose and crown dining pkg lately? out of curiosity, just expensive though.

That was our Illuminations spot - right by Tiki torch 13. I will miss Illuminations forever...

From what I've heard, you want to be watching the show straight on and not on a diagonal. So Future World, Italy, and Japan are ideal, the UK, Norway and China are pretty good, and the other ones not so much.
