Hello! As stated in the title, my family and I will be at the park tomorrow morning, so I hope I get a few responses in time! I have a blackberry so I can check this board during snack breaks/long wait times as well.

I have been planning this trip for about a month, and this message board has been a HUGE help. So, please help me out one more time! :thumbsup2

How early would you arrive to beat the rush of people waiting to see the parade? What area of the park would you consider the best place to sit and watch? This will be my 4 yr. old daughter's first time watching the parade, and I want it to be great.

Thanks in advance to anyone who has advice!

If you are talking about the Celebrate parade, when we were there 3 weeks ago people were lining up REALLY early around Main Street, it was really crazy. We tried across from Small World and were able to grab great front spots about 10 minutes before, but it maybe more crowded now. Definitely not as crowded as Main Street so I would definitely try there in the future. My son was picked to be in the parade, we really enjoyed it.

We just got back and saw the parade on Friday and Tuesday night. Both times we sat down by Small World, it was perfect, no one was there, especially on Tuesday. We had perfect seats. Don't do Main Street, it is crazy. The parade will get to get about 30 minutes after it starts. It is the perfect spot!

We have always sat by IASW for the parade and we haven't had to get there too early. I think most people sit more towards Main St.

Does the parade still stop for extended periods? I remember seeing it several years ago and it seems you got to see more of a certain float. If this is the case, does anyone know the best place to sit if you want the Alice or Princess float in front of you?

The "parade" is a "street party" now. Parade of Dreams is gone and has been replaced with "Celebrate!"

I am not sure if Alice is in the street party, but I can definitely not recall seeing princesses.

We watched the parade two nights on Friday and Tuesday, Alice and the Mad Hatter were in the parade on Friday but not Tuesday. There were no princesses on any floats. We saw: Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Daisy, Pluto, Chip and Dale, Goofy, Clarabell, Tigger and Pooh, Mary Poppins, Peter Pan and Wendy, Jessie and Woody, Pinnochio and Geppeto. Missy Piggey and Kermit began the parade with the special "Volunteer" float. Again, we sat right by Small World and didn't have to get there early at all!

Man, do they have something against the princesses at Disneyland? First they make it almost impossible to find a specific one by hiding them away in the Fantasy Faire, then they take them out of the parade.... Very disappointing....
