Best Vera Bradley bag for the parks.....

I like the mini backpack. I used it twice before in the parks and it was great!

I LOVE my VB backpack. I have the smaller one. I take it on every trip. I can get everything in there and the straps are much kinder on the back than a regular backpack. I used to think VB was for old ladies but now that they have all these cute patterns I spend way too much money on the stuff.:rotfl2:

Another VB backpack person. We always go in the summer, so I have to be able to hold the ponchos. Love the side pockets for sunglasses, but I have to carry readers, too. So the mini-hipster is just a bit too small.

My DW and DD both use the VB backpacks and really like them.

:wizard: I'm so tired of carrying a bag into the parks that this year I went out and got the VB zip ID case and the matching lanyard. I just want to have my KTTW card and some cash on me. I'm going in August so we'll see how it works out....I am concerned about where I'll put my chapstick though!

You can totally get a chapstick in the Zip Id Case. Mine was right next to me, so I tried it out. I stuck a Whole Foods lip balm in there with what I already had in there (a ton of cards) and it was a little bulky, but nothing too cumbersome. If you just have your KTTW, some cash, and a chapstick, you'll be golden!!!!

Re: the Hipster. Not big enough for 4 bottles of water. You might could get two.

Me too!!! Just bought a new bag in the Barcelona pattern.

Now, I am considering a hipster for my next WDW trip. Can anyone tell me if the hipster works well for bigger girls? Some crossbody bags just don't do it.

I have an issue with crossbody bags and my ample chest. I tried the Baggallini Messenger and had the oh so attractive "split ****" in every photo. That being said, I have no problem with the Hipster.

I absolutely love my hipster, I have 3 different ones, it is the best! :thumbsup2

lol just bought a mini-hipster yesterday to take to disney. i am pooh sized and both the hipster and mini-hipster are great. the mini-hipster is perfect to take just a few things to the park!!

I am a plus size gal and carry the hipster and the mailbag on a regular basis. I love them. I haven't decided which one I will be taking on our trip in October.

I went to ebags before our last trip looking to get a Vera Hipster and came upon the ebags brand Terrace Mini bag. This is definitely my Parks Bag. It was perfect for a day in the parks. It held camera, iPhone, FPs, and KTTW cards. Loved it! Of course, I was also traveling with husband and toddler, so we had a bigger bag attached to the stroller for all DDs gear and bottles of water. But, for just holding my personal essentials, this bag could not be beat.

I now also have the next size up, the Piazza Day Bag, and love it, too! I use it every day.

I have and love the old hipster as well. Sadly, mine is getting a little too well used these days and I think it may be time for a new WDW bag. I have been considering abandoning VB and trying Baggalini, but I am not 100% sure yet.

I have both VB and Baggalini- love them both but the great patterns and extra touches on the VB bags have me sold!
I have both mini and reg hipster, the reg is what I use for an everyday purse. I was using the mini but it's too small for everyday use but I know it will be the perfect bag for parks. I don't want to carry much and the bigger the bag the more I stuff into it...
The new fall patterns are wonderful!!

I love the backsack. It's the small backpack with the drawstring straps. It has been discontinued by Vera Bradley, but you can find lots of them on ebay. It was the perfect size for carrying my camera, wallet, and a couple of bottles of water. It also fit nicely in the storage space on all of the rides. I could carry it easily on my back and keep my hands free.

Have you seen the hipster in person? I don't think you can get 4 water bottles in there plus a wallet or anything...... I bought the hipster and wound up returning it. I tried putting my wallet, ponchos, camera and a few little things and it was WAY overstuffed. (and pulled on my shoulder when I put it on cross-body) But that's just my opinion....people love them. You might want to consider the mailbag or the VB Backback also.

I got the backpack for our trip in Sept. It's not overly big but it's going to hold alot......

Hey Sydneysmom... I'm going to use my hipster for everything BUT the water bottles and then get something else for the h2o. I'm considering getting the mini cooler, actually!! I went today and tried it out and I should totally be able to get 4 water bottles (those 16oz nestle ones). I don't need them to be kept cool though, I just like them to be out of the direct sunlight. I might use my waterproof ditty bag, I haven't decided yet (we have a stroller and so it will just be stashed under there) :)

Usually we lug a big backpack around, so when I read about these Vera Bradley hipster bags I know that I had to buy one.

I bought a mini hipster on eBay. Although, it wasn't my favorite pattern, it was the perfect size for the parks. I am not usually a fan of cross body bags but this one was comfortable.

My DD had fun trying to find other bags in my same pattern.

Other than eBay, where can I buy these bags? I am up in Canada but will be back in the states in a few weeks.

You can get 4 water bottles into the Let's Do Lunch bag. They're on sale right now for $20 online and in the stores.

I use my mini-hipster in Botannica. I've been using it at ballgames too. I hate taking a purse, then putting it under my seat, just to have someone spill a beer or soda behind me & have it soak the bottom of my purse. The mini-hipster stays on my body.

DH ususally wears cargo shorts into the Parks and puts stuff in all those pockets. (anyone think it's odd that they insist on looking through our purses, yet a guys' pockets can be stuffed and they don't blink an eye?)

i've carried the mini hipster and the hipster.

on this last trip, DH wasn't with us, so i had to carry everything. i used a Vera messenger bag. it was great!

...Vera messenger bag. it was great!

This is a great bag if you are using a WDW stroller. It fits across the stroller handle perfectly. My friend kept it on the stroller all day as a diaper bag, and she used the mini-hipster for her money, camera, etc.
