Best Vera Bradley bag for the parks.....

I love the reg hipster(the old old style lol) It hold a bottle of water, big sunglasses, small camera and other things. Its great. I have also carried the mini hipster, but it doesn't have enough room for my sunglasses.

A carry on VB Im loving right now is Get Carried Away. It works great. :)

I have and love the old hipster as well. Sadly, mine is getting a little too well used these days and I think it may be time for a new WDW bag. I have been considering abandoning VB and trying Baggalini, but I am not 100% sure yet.

I am taking my VB mail bag, it's larger than the hipster but the same style and I can wear it across my body!! I have a small child so I know I will need to carry lots of "extras" plus there is a great front pocket to keep our KTW cards in for easy access.

Ditto this! I got a hipster for our trip last year, which worked fine, but upgraded to a mailbag for our trip this year. I need it to carry a camera and small camcorder. The only thing is the flap on the mailbag kind of drives me nuts, so not sure which I am going to use yet.

I've used a hipster and it's a great size if you're going to want to stash a water bottle in the pocket and several items inside without being overloaded. but my new personal favorite is the Lil hip i think it's called..... you can't tell in the pic really, but it has a strap long enough to go crossbody that detaches. the alternative is that it can attach through a belt so you can use it as a mini, much cooler fanny pack at your waist and be completely hands-free. It is big enough to hold my camera, cell phone, money, id and KTTW card, creditcard, and still be comfortable. Here's the only pic i have for it *insert shameless cincinnati reds promotion here*

When I first saw this picture I thought "wow, everyone at disney is wearing red and white". Then I read the sentence right above it. I am such a dork! :rotfl:

I like having a little more room that what a "purse" gives you, so for our last 2 trips I have used a (now retired) Mimi Backpack. It was lightweight and I hardly even realized I had it on my back.

I am a new Vera convert and have not taken a Vera to WDW yet. However, I have used a Baggalini cross body and hampton bag. I like the cross body except the strap tends to cut into my neck. It's ok if I am wearing a jacket or shirt with a collar. I love the Hampton, it holds a great deal if needed. I tend to try and go as light as possible, but the all the different compartments make it good for organization.

Thankfully, the kids are older now and bring packsack (string) style backpacks. I divvy up the necessities so I don't have to carry it all!:woohoo:

I love my hipster for day-to-day use but want something smaller for the parks. I'll have to look for the Lil Hip. It looks like a great size for what I carry!

As a Cards fan, I won't comment on your Reds photo! :rolleyes1

LOL! sorry....I'd root for the Cards, but yeah. not this season heh :)

:) Yes there needs to be a Cincinnati Reds day at WDW I'm so there!

How come women look for advice on bags to carry in the parks and in most pictures I see the men carry nothing at all?

Not fair!

That's because we moms get stuck carrying anything!!!

Actually my hubby carries the camera bag, but he doesn't bring it every day.

I have the mailbag and 'test drove' it at Cedar Point. It's perfect. Built in Wallet, front pouch for grabbing quick stuff, the inside can fit a water bottle, sun screen, and whatever else.

My mom got the All in One and it will be perfect for her. She only needs her cards, cash and phone.

I love my mini-hipster. It holds everything I need and fits nicely on all rides.

I LOVE my VB backpack. I have the smaller one. I take it on every trip. I can get everything in there and the straps are much kinder on the back than a regular backpack. I used to think VB was for old ladies but now that they have all these cute patterns I spend way too much money on the stuff.:rotfl2:

For the last couple of trips we've been on I've used the Hipster. I bought a Mini Hipster that came with a small wallet from QVC a few weeks ago and I've been using it to go to concerts etc. and it's been great!!!

I'm in the VB backpack club. I have 2 young kids so I need to carry a bit more stuff.

I love the hipster in the parks, perfect size to carry everything I need and still some extra space without feeling big and bulky.

Some colors of the mailbag are marked down to $25 right now on the VB website :) Just snagged a Cupcake Green one!

Me too!!! Just bought a new bag in the Barcelona pattern.

Now, I am considering a hipster for my next WDW trip. Can anyone tell me if the hipster works well for bigger girls? Some crossbody bags just don't do it.

Totally agree! I bought one on clearance back at Christmas & I only packed it a few times because of the flap! It's in my closet, looking like the day I bought it...

There are a ton of VB Hipster, mini-hipster and other reviews here:

Hopefully some of those photos can help you with your decision. There are also photos of people wearing the bags.
