Hey all,
I'm currently booked at AsMu for the half-marathon.

Having read some horror bus stories, I'm left with a dilemna.

IS another All-Star or Pop century better with the race day transport, or should I just do away with these shennanigans and rent a car.

Feeling a bit lost.

What were the horror stories?

I think you should be fine at any hotel. Disney promises as long as you are in line by 4am, you will get to the start on time.

My dad just booked...I think he said music was all that was available...I'll check with him.

The horror stories were mostly about the crowds at the all stars during normal park hours.

I was thinking that since PoP only has 1 resort to come from/go back to/it may be better.

I stayed at AllstarsMusic in 2005 for the 1/2 marathon--I loved my stay there. I was in the Rock Inn section which was extremely quiet, and overlooked a garden area. I saw several bunnies while I was there.

The bus transportation was great, except in the am, going to the parks. I thought it was among the best of the resorts I've stayed. The transportation for the 1/2 was good--we had a slight problem with our bus--our driver was not a WDW driver, and had difficulty finding where she was supposed to be going.

I would not hesitate to stay at Allstars Music again.
