we still need to book a hotel for the DL portion of our trip.
we'll probably skip the rental car to save a little money.
2 years ago, we stayed at the Hampton Inn on Harbor Blvd near Outback Steakhouse + Red Robin.
we normally like to walk everywhere, so we considered that to be sort of within walking distance to DLR. (20 min away at New Yorker pace
)
however, we're thinking maybe this trip we want to stay just a little bit closer to DLR. the walk up Harbor Blvd is doable, but it might make for a more leisurely trip if we don't have to speedwalk to/from the park everyday.
there just are way too many off-site hotels/motels nearby DLR. i'm really not familiar with any of them, so i need some advice.
anyway, ideally we want to stay at a place that has the following qualities:
1) indoor corridors
2) clean + well maintained
3) clean decent-sized bathroom w/ good lighting (we have stayed in too many places that have cramped toilet/shower rooms w/ horrible lighting. ick.)
4) odor-free non-smoking rooms
5) as close to Disneyland as Hampton Inn, or closer
6) room rates $79/night or less
7) relatively quiet location (don't want too much road/highway noise)
does anyone have any recommendations for favorite hotels that fit the above qualities?
oh, btw, i've read rave reviews of the Hojo on another board. but that board also is a sponsor of them?, which makes me skeptical of the rave reviews. is the Hojo really that nice? i've had bad experiences w/ other Hojo's in the past, so that's why i'm so skeptical.
