Ok I just purchased the disney dining plan and want some suggestions on the best way to use it, we will be there Nov11-19, and neither of us have ever been! Is it best to use a table service for dinner, counter for lunch and snack for breakfast, or do you save the snack and pay oop for breakfast? Any and all suggestions are welcome, Im a noob!!

I think you've hit on the two best strategies, and the choice between then really depends on how much you like breakfast and how much you like snacks -- if you like EITHER a great deal, then you're better off using your snacks for snacks. (If you like breakfast, a snack credit isn't going to take you very far.)

What helped us was that we had a general idea of where we were going on what days then filled in our dining choices around that day’s agenda. Example; on the day we went to Magic Kingdom, I knew that we wouldn’t want to spend the time doing a TS diner so we did all counter service meals that day. So the next day we had a down day so we opted to go to a 2 credit TS meal (that can be a Dinner Show or a real nice table service experience). Just one more thought; you will get so much food that you shouldn’t try to make your choices around “How to get the most out of the plan” but instead plan the TS around what you would really like to try or see. That means if it’s a nice lunch at Epcot “do it”, if it’s having a character breakfast “do it”. I think if you really tailor the plan around your favorites then you will be very satisfied. My DW could have eaten 2 lobster tails every night at Capt. Jacks and been extremely happy, but I wanted to try other choices and she was glad we did. Have a wonderful trip and I wish you great weather.

what i do is make a chart of what restaurants we will go to. :surfweb: then, make a chart of what parks we will go to on what days. :surfweb: which ever restaurant we want that is in or near that days park is what i will book for that day..

we are sleeperiners, :cloud9: and stay at the parks later at night, so for each day i book either a late breakfast, or an early lunch....then use the snack mid afternoon.....and dinner around 6pm, whatever time is open. so we have 2 meals per day, and we are NEVER hungry!

if we have a character breakfast, then we will have a counter service for dinner, and vise versa (sp?). we do lots of character meals! ::MickeyMo ::MinnieMo pooh: :goofy: :tigger: pluto:

this year we are going to hoop dee doo again, which is 2 ts credits, so we will pay oop for 1 meal during stay which is no biggie. we will just grab a burger...or heck, maybe we will to see what this "kitchen sink" is all about! ice cream for dinner?.....why not....we're at WDW!!! :cool1:

anyway.....thats how we do it...

i hope you have a great trip!

We went in February and we worked through this website where we wanted to eat and worked out roughly how much we were saving with the DDP - it was amazing! It is very relaxing too as you dont have to worry how much you have spent on your credit card or how much cash you have left.
