Planning first trip to Disney World and I have no idea what I'm doing with this dining plan - we got the middle option with table service.

Our group is two adults and a six year old girl.

Definitely trying for Cinderella's Royal Table breakfast and Chef Mickey's dinner.

We'd also like to make lunch reservations at Mama Melrose's so we can get into Fantasmic.

Other dinners we want to do are: Sci-Fi Dine-In, 50's Prime Time Cafe, Biergarten, and Cape May Cafe.

Here's my question: will we have enough table service credits and if not, which ones should we pay for and which should we use the dining plan for?

This is for Feb 2012 and we will be there six nights.

I hope someone can help me decipher this. Much appreciated! Thanks!

How many nights is your package for? For example, if you are staying 7 nights, then you have 7 dining credits per person. Cinderella's Royal Table will take up 2 of those credits per person. All of the other options you listed are 1 credit per person. If you eat at every restaurant that you have listed, it would be 8 credits total.

I'm just going to put it out there that 3 out of the 7 restaurants you listed are in Hollywood Studios so be prepared to be spending a lot of time in that park if you HAVE to eat at all 3 (Mama Melrose's, 50's Prime Time, and Sci-Fi) and/or having the park hopper option on your tickets.

Hello and welcome!!

First I would like to explain that your dining credits are based on nights stayed at your resort. So if you are staying 7days/6nights, you will have 6 snack credits, 6 CS credits and 6 TS credits per person. (the 6yr old, the child's credit equivelant).

So you will need to prioritize which adrs are most important to you and see which meals (if any) you have left over that you may or may not pay out of pocket for. Then just look at the menus and see what everyone may order, then pick the cheapest to pay for if you choose to go over your credit limit.

CRT and the Fantasmic package will be 2 TS credits per person, so some people pay OOP for those as many feel CRT isn't worth 2 credits.

Have fun planning and enjoy your vacation.

OK, so you are staying for 6 nights, so you have 6 TS credits each.

CRT is 2 TS credits, so that leaves you with 4 TS credits available.

Chef Mickeys, Mama Melrose, Sci-Fi, 50s PTC, Biergarten and Cape May would require 6 TS credits. Mama Melrose, if part of the F. package is only 1 TS credit, not 2.

So you need to delete or pay OOP for 2. On your Mama Melrose day, you could do breakfast or dinner as CS. If you are only doing one DHS day, then I would drop Sci-Fi and 50s PTC.

If you can't get a Fantasmic Dinner Package, then drop Mama Melrose and one of the other DHS places. (I'm going on the assumption that you'll only do one DHS day)

Biergarten and Cape May are worth keeping as part of your dining plan since they are both buffets, and are therefore 2 of the more expensive ADRs.

Hope that helps a bit?

We will be there for six nights. We are trying to get the Fantasmic! Dining Package on one of the days.

It sounds like we should drop Sci-Fi Dine-In and 50's Prime Time Cafe then we will not have any out of pocket(OOP) reservations to worry about.

How does that sound?

Thanks everyone for all the help.
