I'm looking for good places that you never hear about, to try on my upcoming trip. Maybe out of the way spots, like the All star cafe, or the Sand trap. Do you have any gems to don't get their due on this board.

We really enjoyed Spoodles on the Boardwalk. Great food/atmosphere/service. We were there in March. Not normally a spot we would have gone too since we don't stay near the BW and have little time on our visits to "stroll" the BW. There was lots to do/see on the Boardwalk. We got ice cream and sat on the benches and people watched. If we didn't have the kiddies with us, we might have checked out Jelly Rolls. Good luck!

I think GF Cafe is often forgotten or overlooked in comparison to the other GF restaurants. It's quite a gem!

Pop Century FC has darned good dinners ... for a FC. Too bad it's so darned noisy.

For most over-rated ... Le Cellier, IMO.

Boatwrights at POR. It was wonderful prime rib and great service.

Spoodles is one of our very favorite restaurants at WDW, I'm glad to hear it mentioned!

I think that the food court at Coronado Springs is overlooked. They have a lot of great food items, great variety and I love the atmosphere and it's great not to have to get up for drinks all the time.

I never hear anyone talk about the CS restaurant in Japan in Epcot, but I absolutely love it. of course I can't remember its name right now!

Spoodles is great and gets notoriously bad reviews on these boards. Cape May Cafe is also under the radar but still great. I agree that Le Cellier is a bit overrated. The CS in Japan, Yakitori House, was mentioned by another poster. It is great.

We have only eaten once at The Maya Grill (CSR) and was very pleasantly surprised. :teeth:
Capn Jack's in DTD has not disappointed us yet either. :sunny:

I would recommend not to go to the All Star cafe. We did last year and had a terrible experience there. $10+ for a hamburger. Wait times of 30 minutes for a waiter and then 45 minutes for our food. Overcharging us on our ticket and then, trying to keep my change as a tip (over $20). I will never go there again.

Now on this past trip, we went to Whispering Canyon at the WL and enjoyed it a lot.

I hardly ever hear anything about the Kona Cafe in the Poly. We had dinner here on our last trip and it was by far the best meal of our entire trip!

I am so glad to hear this. We have an ADR for Nov. Was there anything in particular that you loved?

Here is a second for Boatwrights....great prime rib and wonderful jambalaya. Prices are very reasonable for what you get.

You've already mentioned the Sand Trap--best "under-rated" lunch spot at WDW!!!

Absolutely the Grand Floridian Cafe .... my family thinks the food there is better than Narcoosi's!!

Also, the sandwiches and salads at BC's Marketplace are quite good ... I call it gourmet counter service food!

I agree. Breakfast at Boatwrights is the perfect way to start a day.

Another vote here for Boatwrights! Both our breakfast and dinner were yummy there. I can't get that banana stuffed french toast out of my mind months later.
