Best Turtle Farm tour on Grand Cayman??

Looking for a tour that includes the Turtle Farm but not Sting Ray City. Any suggestions, nervous about using a non Disney excursion and need all the advice we can get! Thanks !

We used Pansy taxi. It was a private tour of the island. We went to Turtle farm, Hell, and a few other spots. They were very nice and informative.

We are planning on just taking a taxi there and to Hell to mail our postcards then going back to Georgetown to shop/explore. I want to do Stingray City but my kids said no way. Scardy cats!

Probably, but I don't know who. Disney evidently does not have any excursions with a stop at the turtle farm. We are planning on doing the dolphin excursion in Cozumel at Chakanaab (I am sure I butchered the spelling on that).

We did that through DCL. (though we did the Dolphin Extreme swim, not the Dolphin Encounter). They were right across the street from each other. We liked it very much. Spent about an hour at the Turtle farm. Got to see the big ones, have our picture taken holding the 1.5 foot ones, and we saw some baby turtles that were born 5 days before. Then over to the Dolphins for the swim/encounter. It is a full day though. Took a bit longer than the information stated.

That was in August. Maybe they don't offer it anymore?

Hmm, I just went onto disneycruise.com website and Turtle Farm isn't even listed on there:

The turtle farm is still there but I think Disney quit doing excursions there. I think it has something to do with the fact that, although the farm is for conservation and has saved thousands of turtles, it also harvests the meat for local use. I am going to guess that Disney decided not to be a part due to that. I could certainly be wrong, but given Disney's stance on conservation I doubt they would support an organization that sells turtle meat for consumption.

We were just there last week and did Discount Excursions. It was super easy. They are right at the port and easy to find. I prebooked online and paid the balance when I got there. They drive you to the Turtle Farm and drop you off and give you a wrist band. Then you are on your own for 2 hours, which we thought was great to do what we wanted. They pick you up when your time is up. It was all as easy as can be. It was actually cheaper than taking the public bus, which we had planned to do. We specifically chose a 12:30 departure so we could eat lunch on the ship before heading out because I had heard the food at the turtle farm was not very good.

I think they very recently started doing this excursion. I found it less than 2 weeks before my trip and was very excited because I was a little nervous about doing the bus as a single woman with a young daughter.
