WE are planning one day in Hollywood Studios with a two and six year old I wanted to move as little as possible. I am making ADRs and was wondering about the best place to eat.

Dining: DW, DH, DD3 & DS5
Hollywood n Vine is character with the Little Einstines. We went at 11 AM as they were just setting up for lunch and the Breakfast crowd had been cleared. The interaction with the characters was great.
We had a late lunch at 50s Prime Time Cafe. The food was very good. We were tired and not in the mood for "Aunt Donna", so she backed off the act, but when we perked up "Aunt Donna" was acting up too.
We had dinner at Sci-Fi. They were running very late for ADRs and we were very tired. They food wan't that great (except the dessert). The movie clips got old after awhile. I have read that others enjoyed the experience there...maily lunch with the burgers and shakes.
Brown Derby seems to gt few, but good results too. Not sure, but I think it is a 2 credit resturant.

50's Prime Time is good. We just ate at Sci-Fi and had very bad service! We wont be eating there again any time soon!

The Studios are seriously lacking in places to dine. We have gone to Mama Melrose (we go every year), 50's Prime Time and Sci-Fi (haven't gone since about the year 2000 which was the last time the boys were with us), Brown Derby and H&V. We would go back to 50's Prime Time and Sci-Fi if we decided to take a break from Mama Melrose. We probably won't go back to Brown Derby as we think it overrated and not worth two table service credits. And, unfortunately, you could not pay us to ever step foot in H&V again--twice it was horrible in all regards--food, service, cleanliness, etc.

I would say that 50's PT would be the best choice. However, I wouldn't say that any restaurant at DHS is a great place. 50's is a fun place but the food IMHO is average. :)

My kids like H&V. I do not mind it, I liked Sci Fi.

We eat at Mama's every year. If you go on a weekday for lunch, ask for Barbara, she is incredible! We also go to the Brown Derby. One of our favorites on property. My 14yr old DS who does not eat fish or meat can't wait to eat there again because of one of the seafood items on the menu. Go figure!:)

We've eaten everywhere buy Hollywood and Vine, because my parents have gone and they said the food stunk.
Our favorite is Prime Time. There is entertainment for the kids, the wait staff is funny and jokes around and the food was EXCELLENT! We had 8 people with us last September and every single person, even my VERY picky 11 year old LOVED their food. It's a MUST on our list for this September.

I think Prime Time would be the best choice for young children. It's a great family atmosphere, I've always found the food to be pretty good here and they have a good selection of options for pickier eaters.

Lunch at Sci Fi has become a tradition for my family, and we range in age from 6 to 58. The kids, especially, seem to love the atmosphere, and I love their burgers -- "hold the bread, please" (I'm doing low carb). We also usually end up getting pizzas at Pizza Planet -- on a different day, of course.

My son-in-law, granddaughter, and I also ate at Mama Melrose one time and really enjoyed it. Their chicken parmigiana over spaghetti and their Caesar salad are out of this world!

My favorite in HS is 50s Prime Time, we love it and go all the time. However, we honestly haven't tried another place in HS in ages because we keep going back to 50s...

The best meal at the studios is The Brown Derby . It's not even close. We also thought that Hollywood and Vine was great because of the characters not because of the food. You can always see the characters at the Playhouse Disney show and have a good meal at Brown Derby! There is even a photo op after the show with characters.

We love 50's PT but I just added Sci Fi for lunch next week...I think my 6 year old niece will like it better..she is shy and I think the attention at 50s PT might freak her out

50's PT is definitely the best...i went to the HBD many many years ago, so i couldnt tell you how that is anymore...but we ate at sci fi last may and i was very disappointed...

Had a late lunch at 50's Prime Time. I would say it is very good, not great. Try the PB & J Milkshake. WOW!
