Okay so I am coming out of my after Disney depression, and have finally been able to visit the disboard without feeling sad. I just wanted to share my experience. This was by far our best trip ever. Year of a million dreams is the best promotion Disney has run so far. Me my fiance, DS6, DS5, and DS2 went for a 6 night trip Fe. 2-8, and we recieved many dreams. This was my fiances first trip ever and it really made it special for him. Some of the things weren't official dreams I am sure, but were great anyways.

The first dream we got was at epcot on the 3rd day of our trip. It was in the afternoon and we were walking around the world showcase,a nd in Briatian way off to the side I saw Aurora hidden, and noone in line. We headed over there and the CM's were so great and so was Aurora. My 2 year old now says that sleeping beauty is his girlfriend. She talked to all three of them for like 10 minutes and when it was time for them to go she wanted to kiss each of them, well my 2 year old kissed her and let her kiss him, and wouldn't let me wipe the lipstick off even hours later. It was great and the photopass guy got lots of great pictures.

Our second dream was at Epcot ont he same day. It was later in the day about 5pm and we were walking through Mexico where they have the little boat that will take you from Mexico to Germany,a dn this CM stopped us and told us we should ride the boat and relax. We said sure and went to sit down and rest until it came back around. This woman CM came and talked to my sons and my 6 year old noticed her pins and said he would like to have one, and I explained to him that he had to have one to trade. Well when the boat came up, and the small group of us went to get on it, the CM who told us we should ride the boat stood at the front of the line and announced that we had all won Year of a Million Dreams lanyard and pin sets. I was so excited that I started to cry.

The last three dreams we recieved were at the Magic Kingdom on our last day the 7th. In the morning we were walking in frontierland, and the song and dance show with woody and his friends that they do throughout the morning was just starting. They came and pulled my 6 and 5 year old out fo the crowd, and they got to ride stick horses and do the hokey pokey with woody and everyone in the show. We also got to ride on the Carosel (spelling?) with Mary Poppins. She was further down from us, but my boys thought it was great to ride the same ride as her. The last dream we recieved was while shopping in a store in Mickey's toontown I was off with my 6 year old and a CM came and asked if he could be in a parade around the store. He got to pick a huge crazy hat to wear and an instrument to play and parade around the store. Afterwards he was given a certificate to take home.

With all the magic touches we recieved on our trip we left Disney walking on air. I can't wait to go back for my honeymoon in September. I haven't been to Disney without kids since I was like 10 so it should be really magical. I hope all of you have as good of a vacation as we did. With lots of pixiedust:

Oops I forgot to add pictures. I don't have pictures of everything, since our camera ran out of batteries on the second day, and we couldn't find affordable replacements until the last few days.

Here they are riding their horses.

Oh dear...I'm going to have to grab a tissue! I'm so glad your family had such a great time. I hope your little guys can remember all the special surprises they had. :goodvibes

Just saw the pictures -- fabulous!

How awesome!!!! Thanks for sharing. I am so glad you had such a magical trip. My DD would have DIED with the private princess Aurora moment, HER FAVORITE!

Congratulations! We were there at the same time, and also had a wonderful magical moment. I know just how you feel. Here it is almost a week later and I still get choked up when I think about it! Whoever said the YOAMD promotion was a failure, ought to talk to you or me! The small individual touches are just so incredible for both kids and adults, it is indescribable! My GD still talks about her time with Mater and Lightning - she is still in awe (as am I). Those things mean so very much to the children I can't even conceive of a possible reason that the YOAMD is not a HUGE success!
I thank Disney each day for our magical moment as I am sure you do too.
The pixie dust seems to have rubbed off on many on this board too. Not as much 'flaming' as seemed to be around for awhile. People are actually happy for each other in so many cases.

I hope that is what the Magical Dreams are really all about - spreading goodness and happiness to each other. What a great lesson for kids too!
