Ok...this is the third time I have tried to post this now. :badpc: What are suggestions for the best laundry items for travel. Also the best travel stain remover. I will have my DD 1 (not to mention myself and my mom :rotfl: ) who may need to have a food stain removed from clothes.

The new tide pen is great. I would also bring a stain stick and some shout wipes. If you have something you can't get out when you get home pre-treat with clorox 2 and it most likely come right out.

I like the Shout Wipes. Bring them everywhere. I also bring one of those pop-up laundry baskets. Have handles to carry dirty clothes to laundry room, no pile in a corner and taes up little to no room in the suitcase.

I have the best luck with dish soap, which if you are going to be washing bottles you will probably have. I use that and a nail brush for tough spots. Shout wipes are great on the go. My other defense is large bibs, I got several of the terrycloth ones that look like hand towels with a hole for the head. Are you staying someplace with laundry facilities? It can save a ton of packing!

I do that too. I also carry Oxiclean wipes around.

I've found that laundry tablets (hard to find now) are the best. Other than that, I've used individual boxes of laundry soap from the laundromat, packed up individual baggies of soap powder, and used individual bottles of liquid tide (I saw these at Big Lots recently). All will work just fine.
The Tide pen is wonderful. My mom sells clothes on eBay (bought at thrift stores, etc) and swears by the Tide pen.

I also take a collapsable laundry basket when I vacation. I know a lot of people say there is no way they would ever do laundry on vacation, but the way I look at it is this...Who the heck wants to come home from vacation and have a huge laundry pile looking at them. I find doing the laundry on vacation quite relaxing. I'll do it early in the morning that we're heading to Blizzard Beach (we leave the room later on that day) or in the evening when DH has the kids at the resort pool.

HTH.

Okay, so I'm not the only one who's been having trouble posting new threads today! I've been trying on and off all day to post a thread on the transportation forums with no luck! I can answer threads like this though-go figure! It's driving me  !!!
