Best Transportation option at park close?

Tips for how to leave the park as painlessly as possible at park close? Looking at a grad bash Friday night near spring break (not Good Friday).

We plan to stay onsite on the Thurs at RPR and then switch to a close by offsite hotel for Fri to get a better rate.

If we stay to park close at 6 is it better to:
1) find a nearby hotel with a bus shuttle?
2) walk to HRH and get a car from there?
3) do Uber/Lyft from the pick up spot in the universal parking lot?
4) take boat to RPR and get a car from there?
5) something else?

I would walk to hrh and get a pick up there

Uber worked fantastic for us throughout our trip apart from at park close at Universal... It was chaotic.

How close of an off site place? Some of them are walkable like Double tree, Hyatt place and Holiday Inn. Probably others. I have stayed at the Holiday Inn and it was reasonably priced and convenient to walk.

Plus lots of hotels have shuttles but they may still be kind of a hassle.

If you do as Mac suggested and use the HRH or RP it’ll be much easier.......

Although I’d be out of there well before the Grad Bash crowd get there.....

We saw masses of coaches arrive last year for one Friday night bash, and roads were mobbed!! There were signs all the way long the roads surrounding Universal where to go to park for the event.......it was busy.

Yikes. We were aiming to do a final 1.5 hours in the park towards the end of the day after a swim at RPR (since my family will not last all day). Hmmm...

Then get a ride from rpr to leave the premises

It is easier and quicker to get transportation from rpr or hrh than it is from city walk when you leave

You are away from city walk where major crowds will be

Don't cut your day short just for transportation reasons! Get an Uber or Lyft from any of the hotels (even Cabana Bay where you might be more out of the thick of things).
