What experience do you have with these websites/tour plans?

Ultimate Touring Plans
Ridemaxx
Tour Guide Mike

Any others? We're going for ONE DAY in July and will need to maximize our time and the heat. We'll be there July 7th or 8th.

Also what day is better for the Magic Kingdom? Tuesday or Wednesday? Thurs. is an EMH so we'd stay away from that day. Thanks for any input!:goodvibes:goodvibes:goodvibes

I've not tried Ridemax, but I have subscriptions to both Touringplans.com and Tour Guide Mike. I have to say I like touringplans much better. I find TGM confusing and very hard to navigate. But TGM is more about maximizing when you go to minimize lines (visit Dumbo before x AM and after x PM, and visit HM between X AM and X PM, etc.) as opposed to go Dumbo, then X, then Y then Z, get FP for AB, etc... The clearly laid out plans of TP appeal to me, but then again I have a child for whom I have to lay out exactly what we're going to do ahead of time and in what order or he'll try to make sure that we only visit "his" rides. I found there were plenty of plans with a lot of variety to appeal to all family types. Plus some of the plans have breaks scheduled in which appeals to me. There are also some nice touring plans in Passporter which are supposed to be doable in an 8 hour day - I really like the passporter book as it gives great descriptions and ratings of the various rides.

Thanks SO MUCH for your input! I really appreciate it and def. see the difference between the two styles of "Plans". You also reminded me that my Passporter has a touring plan in the back! "Doh!"

Anyone else? Thanks a lot!:goodvibes

We were a family of five, first time to WDW. I used a combination of Touringplans (Ultimate Guide book) and Ridemax.

This worked out really good for us. Ridemax, was super easy, and took the frustration of not knowing the park or best times for rides out of the picture for me. Then I used touringplans to have a map with locations in the order of how ridemax suggested doing the parks.

Both had good extras, like hidden mickeys to look for, park opening suggestions. i taped one to the back of the other and just carried the folded 8.5x11.5 in my pocket.

We were there at the first of April, the start of Easter crowds, waited the longest on Dumbo (30 minutes) our fault as we were awestruck walking into Mk the first time and didn't beeline it to fanstasyland. Used fastpasses. Were able to accomplish 95% of what we wanted.

Have a great trip.
