Hello all -

We're visiting in Orlando for a few weeks and have APs, and my daughter and I want to get some Disney in. She is 6 and it is HOT! I'm willing to visit frequently for a few hours...do you think it would be best to go in the early morning as soon as the parks open or wait until 4 or later to venture out?

I vote for early mornings. The parks tend to be less crowded and the weather is most likely at it's coolest.

We're going to do both, our boys will be 3 yrs and 15 months. In the morning we'll go to the park, stay until lunchtime, either eat in the parks or back at our resort, nap, swim, whatever, then return around 4 or 5 to the parks. We will probably use the EE days some, but when we go back in the afternoon, we won't go to the park that was EE that day because of the crowds.

Enjoy your trip!

Steph

Mornings, many people just will not get up early while on vacation. You can always go back to the parks again in the evenings to see the fireworks, ect. Warning, my kids rarely, or should I say never, want to leave a park once we get there. It is hard to get them to walk out when there is still so much to see and do. The pool is a big draw, but for my 4 the parks are an even bigger draw. Is this your first trip?

I agree with previous posters about mornings. We found the parks to be much less crowded before 11:00 a.m. We went April 17 - 23. We went to MK both early entry days and found that it was great to get rides in Fantasyland under our belts before the park opened to the public. So, if you are staying on-site and plan to leave at lunch, I say go for it! We were able to go on Dumbo, Peter Pan, see Mickey's Philharmagic (awesome!!), It's a Small World & Snow White in the first hour! Later in the day that would take 2-3 hours to accomplish.

We have a 6 year old daughter and found that by lunch time she was ready for a break. With the weather in June, your daughter will be even more exhuasted. For her, the pool at the resort was a big draw, so getting her to leave wasn't a problem.

A couple times we returned to the Parks around 5:00. This was nice but more crowded than early mornings.

Have fun!

Thanks for the input! We've been to the parks several times. This summer we are staying with my mom and dad in East Orlando. We took a family trip to WDW and stayed on-property in March and DD and I got APs to be able to visit this summer, so we can go for a few hours and I won't feel like I'm "wasting" a ticket. We are about 45 minutes away.

I definitely want to see Wishes again - it was so awesome! I think we'll do mornings most of the time and head back to Grandma's and then go one night after dinner...if I have the energy! :)
