Best times to avoid lines at Florean's Ice Cream?

What are the least busy times to visit Florean's and how long is a "short" wait? It is the one thing we missed our first trip because the line was insanely long and it's must do this trip. Are they usually open full park hours? I am not against ice cream for breakfast if it means a short line, lol

Pretty sure it opens with the park, today's hours say 9 AM open. Sounds like a great breakfast to me!

They are even open during Early Entry sometimes. Nothing like eating ice cream in Diagon Alley while watching the sunrise.

Are the lines long even in the early morning? It was evening when we stopped by so I'm wondering if we would be ok between lunch and dinner in the fall with lower crowds.

I usually go in September and the lines are not typically long until mid afternoon - but nothing crazy really and gives yo a chance to choose a flavor

Mid afternoon it might be out the door - but its manageable - of course may be totally different now

I highly recommend the Sticky Toffee Pudding ice cream

Breakfast!! It opens with the park. I usually ride Gringotts during early park admission and then get ice-cream right after.
