I have never done this, so please go easy on me. I am considering trying to rent points for a stay in Feb, Pres. week (sun-thurs) in 06. How far in advance should I start looking for points? I want to stay at the BWV in a studio. OKW would also do, but would prefer BWV.

Any advice? TIA!

I would look right now. Presidents week is usually very busy. You going to need to rent the points from someone who owns at the resort you want to stay at, so they can hopefully get the days you want. Goodluck

Okay...will start my hunt. Thanks!

Yep, I'd say 11 months out would be ideal. Getting going on your search on the sooner side would be advisable.

Now, about your name, d4est; is that like DeForest Kelley (aka "bones" on Star Trek)? Just humor me and say something like "He's dead, Jim"... please...

"He's dead, Jim... I'm a Doctor for God's sake, not a magician!"

How's that?

If you want either Standard View or Boardwalk View, now is the time to look for someone with BWV points to rent.

I don't really care about the view, unless it makes a difference in the price/points. I am looking to save money wherever possible. But I guess I need to start looking!

d4est id....my maiden name was De Forest. It is just an easy id so I stick with it. No star trek reference, sorry. But, Y-ASK's gotcha covered!
