Disneyland doesn't really have a true "low season" any more, especially when the weather is nice. I would probably opt for early May (after Spring Break, before summer), the week after Labor Day (September), and the week after Halloween (November) as you're best bet. The "lowest" crowds are likely in January because it's after the holidays, but the weather is iffy and more rides tend to be down for refurb. Early Sep and Nov are okay, but note that some rides will be closed to get their overlays installed (HM and Space in Sep and IaSW in Nov). You won't find low crowds on the weekends during these periods (is my guess), so you're best bet is to plan for trips that span Tue to Thu. (Also note that the park hours are likely to be short and evening entertainment (fireworks, Fantasmic, and Mad T Party) are likely to be only on Fri, Sat, and Sun).

Next year...the 60th anniversary events are supposed to start in the Spring, so that might mean early May will see an increase in crowds as folks come to see the 60th anniversary events (whatever those may be).

I would also recommend checking out HydroGuy's thread about the high and low seasons:

Another vote for early May. That's when we usually go. Great weather & most kids are still in school.

We've been in January a few times, but the weather is hit or miss. One time it was 75 degrees, another time it was around 50 & windy and we were freezing. But the crowds are definitely lower in January.

In the past the golden times for low crowds were late Jan- Mar. My family had an annual pass from Aug2013-Aug2014 (the select) and the crowds were all over the place, compared to when we used to have passes around 2005-2009. I agree about January. It really is a nice time to go, but like the previous post mentioned, it is hit or miss with weather, it's my birthday month and used to celebrate at Dland almost every year and the crowds were always super low including for 2014.

The first week of March(in our experience), is also a great time to visit!

We go during that week every year and love it!

Spring Break crowds don't typically hit until the next week, and the weather is a bit warmer than February, with less chance for sprinkles(although we personally don't mind sprinkles;)).

We've encountered cheaper rates then, as well, because we've swooped in before they hike room rates up for Spring Break.:thumbsup2

I found the best time was after USA Thanksgiving but before Christmas holidays start (Dec 1 - 15 or so) was good and they have their beautiful Christmas music for the fireworks. I also enjoyed the times I've been between January - spring break.

I was very surprised the week that I took my niece. We had to go in summer (blah!) because of her school holidays and it wasn't that busy. The day we arrived was - mostly because it was the 4th of July but that didn't matter to us because we were tired. The next 5 days were great and the crowds weren't bad at all. But I think we just lucked out.
