Best time to go?

So If I am understanding correctly, the 3rd full week in Sept, Sept 17-21, on the last day most likely will have HM Holiday and Space open (if it isn't open already)

Is that still considered low season for crowds?
It is low season but if these rides are important I would stay away from any time from Labor Day until the end of September. At least until Disney announces firm plans. If you are OK with missing them then go for it.

Just about every week we have posters on this forum who tried to cut things close like this and put low crowds at the top of their list and then Disney changed plans and they will miss something they would rather not. Then they come here and complain about Disney and the things they will miss. Usually with a bunch of symbols that look like this:

:headache:

:sad1:

:guilty:

So choose carefully.

LOL! It is noted. It may be that I have to come back for the HM Holidays another time. After I read your threads (DL for WDW Vet) I thought about going the week before or right after Mother's Day. Plus, I have a free companion ticket that I have to use before June, so May might just win out. I really don't like crowds though, so I am trying to go Mon-Fri no matter which month I choose.

Low crowds really are appealing. I was upset I missed Pinocchio at DLP last week, but that was the only ride that was closed, and the crowds weren't bad at all, so I wasn't too :guilty: :sad1:  Infact I thought it was lucky.;)

:rotfl2:I had to laugh at this, Trey!! Your list of the expressive symbols used is too funny! (And very true!) And with the week I have been having, I needed a good chuckle!

I think I used a symbol or two like that myself when I thought I had carefully planned my DLR holiday trip to avoid the CM party nights...only to find out that DLR had scheduled their CM party nights one week later than usual, which was going to be during my trip!:rotfl2::rotfl2: So even the best laid plans can be thrown off course when DLR suddenly changes things around on us!

sweetlovin' - Yes, both HMH and SMGG will be up on or by September 16th this year, so they will be in full swing - as will the Halloween Time season in general - as of that date and beyond. But as HydroGuy said, it is still technically considered low - or off-peak - season, even though Halloween Time is very popular. (And next year the season will begin on either 9/14 or 9/21, so that is when SMGG and HMH will open as well.)
