Best time to get reservations?

We decided yesterday to go to disney for the holidays. Of course, now I'm bending over backwards to get dining reservations and had some success today, but I've been on the computer all day long. Is there a better time to get reservations, ie Disney update the computer system in the morning? I can't spend the next 3 weeks logged on to disney all day, as much as I would like to. Thanks in advance for any help.

I have been trying all hours (obsessively actually:blush: )for the past few weeks to "adjust" a couple of our ADRs for Dec 9-16th. I have tried early morning, during the day and later at night...and to be be honest, I have been consistently unsuccessful. ;)
I think with all the discounts, promotions, special events and the holiday season, dining for Dec. at this point, is very very difficult. The good news is that if anyone wants to eat at Kouzzina (for breakfast, or dinner) they should have NO problem getting in there. It comes up as an alternative for every single place ,for every single time that I put in!

But it doesnt have much availability for the rest of November...(Kouzzina)

Tiring, isn't it? I've been thinking about changing our schedule around for December, but I'm finding very little availability and I'm sooo tired of checking.

I have taken this as a sign from my fairy godmother that my existing plans are best.

Don't forget to check the cancellation boards. I have been posting whenever I cancel a reservation and I know that other's ahve picked them up afterward :)

I pretty much have at this point too! :) I had a really good feeling about it this afternoon, but alas, nothing - again! I think I'll be sticking with what I have.

We decided about 3 weeks ago to go to Disney Nov 27 to 30, so I started trying to make reservation on about October 15th. I am on my computer all day for work (I am luck in that I have my own business, so no one is watching what I do online). I would say I check the online reservation system for the ADR's I want about every 3 or 4 hours (yes, I AM INSANE AND OBSESSED). So, here are the times of day that I got my ressis:

4:36 am (proof that I'm insane), 8:34 am, 9:27 am, 11:20 am, 8:07 pm, 9:03 pm, and 9:37 pm (I know this by the time stamp on the confirmation emails I got back from Disney). I didn't think I would be able to get anything I wanted, but here's what I have:

11/27 Raglan Road dinner

11/28 Chef Mickeys breakfast
Akershus lunch
LTT dinner

11/29 Chef Mickeys breakfast
'Ohana dinner

11/30 50's Prime Time lunch
Brown Derby dinner

Still trying for 'Ohana earlier in the evening, but otherwise, the ADRs are perfect for us. The lesson for me is--if you keep trying you will get what you want!

This is truly a full-time job!! Yesterday, I sat here all day and am sitting here tonight.

December is not looking too good either. I wish the dining website was a little more user friendly.:confused3

I wish the online reservations would allow you to pick "anytime" for a particular day instead of just hour by hour. I'm having no luck changing my ressies either for 11/29 - 12/4 I hope I don't have to use my TS credits for CS.

We are going Nov 28-Dec 6th, and I had some ressies I was hoping to adjust. Have tried for days.........weeks.

Last night I sat down, and just started searching. Picked up a 50s Prime Time for 12:30pm, Ohanas Breakfast for 8:20am, and Ohanas for dinner at 6:30pm. Got all of these within a 30 minute span.

Keep looking and be sure to check the cancellation thread.

I agree...keep trying! I have also been trying to adjust some things for our 12/9-12/16 trip for weeks with no luck. This morning I was able to get a 5:50 dinner for Cape May and an 8:00 am Boma breakfast.

Keep trying! Also, go through the menus on allears.net and the food pictures on DIS to see what else looks good to you, that way you do not feel as upset if you don't get something you really want! And remember, (this is what I have to tell myself) that it will NOT be your last time to Disney...there's always next time! :) I have been trying like crazy b/c we decided last minute to go as well. I finally got ONE that I really wanted (1900 Park Fare breakfast) and I am still trying for 2 others that I really want. I'm not giving up hope either! :)

We decided yesterday to go in 3 weeks! We were able to get the resort we wanted and the airfare/flights we wanted but ADR's are proving to be a LOT more difficult to come by! I am beginning to wonder if we are going at a super crowded tine of year? This used to be a great time to go but in the past we booked a lot farther ahead. I also wonder if people aren't overscheduling their ADR's just to cover all their bases. Disney doesn't ask for advance payment so it would be easy enough to make, for example, 2 or 3 reservations at different places for the same day and then decide that day which is going to work out for you. I'm not sure that's fair to everyone still looking for ADR's and one flaw I see in the whole ADR system.

I will press on and keep hoping. I only need a few more and I'll be set.

We're going in 2 1/2 weeks (woohoo!!) and I really don't think much is available for that time frame. I'm also a little worried about the crowds. I wanted to change a couple days around and I've pretty much given up because I'm tired of checking and finding nothing. I'm trying to make a switch that would require us to give up a Donald's Safari Breakfast and replace it with another Donald's on a different day, a Chef Mickey's breakfast, or Garden Grill dinner. There are several variations that would work, but nothing at those three restaurants is coming up at all - and I checked about four times a day every day for weeks. <sigh> I'm pretty sure we'll just stick with what we have even though it means being at DH on a busy day. My kids want a meal with either Mickey or Donald, and I can't take continuing to look for a new ADR every day.
