Best time to eat at California Grill?

What time would be the best time to make a reservation for dinner at California Grill, and be able to watch Wishes (in January). Thanks!

Wishes is at 8 most nights in January, and a meal at California Grill generally takes 1.5-2 hours. We had a 7:30 reservation on the night we were there for the fireworks, and next time we'll make it a little earlier, around 6:30, so we can be towards the end of our meal by the time the show starts.

When I made a reservation for this past August the CM told me even if you eat earlier you will be allowed to return for the fireworks viewing.

Wishes is at 10 the night we're going...our ADR is at 7:40. I figured this gives us plenty of time as I've heard you don't always get seated right at your given time. Fingers crossed for a window seat!

Don't forget in order to do that you need to show your reciept for your dinner from that evening to a Cast Member working at the check-in desk on the 2nd floor to be let back.

We always eat at CG around 5:30pm because it is the best way to get a window seat with a beautiful view of MK. Be sure to check in at the downstairs desk a little after 5 to be the first seated and also they have a lovely bar. If you want to go see Wishes, just show them your receipt downstairs and they will let you back up for a outside viewing with the music piped in. If you return early enough, you can also get a seat in the lounge area of the fireworks. If you are going to be there on 12/1 please hold us a seat in the lounge for Wishes
