We are thinking of going in Dec 2007 (can do end of Nov since Thanksgiving is early). What 6 days might be the slowest?

Any dates starting the week after Thanksgiving up to about Dec. 15 MIGHT be the slowest, although I have not personally called everyone else on the planet to see when they will be there. :goodvibes

Pop Warner kids and parents will likely be there during part of that time.

I know in the past the best weeks were the 1st and 2nd, but like the previous poster mentioned, Pop Warner Comps may be going on, so you may want to check on that before you decide. Maybe go onto the Pop Warner website to check on the dates that they will be there.

Resorts are quite full I have been reading due to Mousefest and Pop Warner.

Of course this is extremly popular for DVC members too.

We always go the week of our anniv.(Dec. 14th) and crowd levels are low. We once stayed till the weekend before Christmas. The diffrence between Friday, and Saturday were total opposite. The Friday we saw everything we wanted before noon at MK, and Saturday we went back to watch a christmas show, and could hardly move, the crowds were so thick. This year we tried to get a room around the 8th, but the only rooms available were at SSR, we tried again for the weekend after and they were all available. So Pop warner does make it busy.

pop century wasn't full. just the allstar resorts were full from pop warner kids and familys. the parks were like crowds during the week. friday and saturday MK was crowded but not too full. 30-45 min lines in fantasy land 30 mins on space mnt 30 on splash mtn. its a time of the year i will return again and again.

I found Mousefest dates for 07 but can't find Pop Warner date for 2007-- anyone know them?

Looking forward to my eighth year there at this time of the year. It is traditionally the slowest time of the year. The PW kids typically do not make much of a presence in the parks. I do still suggest using TGM and his best parks/best days knowledge.

Mousefest is great, meeting up with folks from the DIS (though the DIS is one of the only non-participating major websites) along with many other website folks.

Pop Warner can practically take over some of the budget resorts but overall it is not alot of people. Maybe a few thousand or more, spread over four parks, is not all that noticeable.

We usually go to WDW the first week of December and even though the resorts are busy the parks are only busy sporadically and in certain areas. The Pop Warner kids are mostly at the sports complex during the day anyhow.

The DVC resorts have been very busy in early December for years, maybe before Pop Warner showed up. Gartner also has some meetings at WDW in early December.

Hey...I've tried posting a simular post a few days ago and my post got ignored. Well, from what I've been reading for the past 3-4 years the parks have gotten more crowded each year during the first two weeks of December. I'm not sure if I'm going to plan my vacation the 1st two weeks of November or December now.

Pop starts first couple of days Of Dec and ends on the weekend of the 8th. I rescheduled our trip for the week after turkey day as pop warner is no time to be at Disney. Tons of immature boys on the vege of puberty makes for a not so magical trip. Be aware of this and think hard about it, make shure you bring loads of patience as pop can be quit interesting.

The first two weeks in Dec will be your slow time, but if this keeps getting out, its going to be the most crowded time. :rotfl2:

We were at Disney the first week of December last year and I came to one conclusion: I don't think Disney World has a down time anymore. The first weekend of December was quite crowded, with 30-40 minute waits. Mid-week was a little more managable but the parks can still get congested by late morning. Like any other time of the year, you need to arrive at the parks early. I highly recommend MVMCP during early December. However, try to attend MVMCP during the week. Weekends tend to be more crowded for this event.

That's my big concern. Waiting in line and dealing huge group of kids. If the lines were mainly 30-40 minute waits, then that's managable. You can get a FP for the most part and not wait that long.

LoriMistress,
We did not see many groups of children at the parks. I know that Pop Warner Football Teams were there the same time as us, but we did not notice. We have family in Central Florida and know from experience that the weekends in December is a very popular time with the Floridians to visit the Disney Parks. We navigated the parks at a more relaxed pace midweek.
