Best time of day to get married?

Would you mind sharing what month your wedding was? I'm getting married at 5pm and one year exactly beofre my wedding, we went to Disney and it didn't rain at all at 5pm. Now I know we must have had a little luck that week so we made a safe choice and picked the WP beach so that we have the WP as a back-up instead of a ballroom location.

I got married October 22.

This is a good thread! :yay: I was going to ask something like this myself. When do you guys think is the best time of day for a December wedding at SBP? Do you think it will be cold?

I live in GA like five minutes away from fl and its usually in the mid 60's 70's in december but it has known to get down to the mid 50's!!

Originally Ana said like 800 830 and I'm so anal on time and not to mention we added my mom in the mix so then she suggested 630 since that way it would give us about 3 hours or so time to relax ... take pictures ... EAT! popcorn:: and all that good stuff.. I'm that person that is always early! At the same time not a morning person b/c I work nights!

You and I are exactly opposite! I work mornings (8am is considered early morning for me!) and I'm always late. My joke is that I was born two weeks late and I've never caught up. :goodvibes

I'm going to have to add a MOH, Jr.BM and FG into the mix - Maybe they all can get ready somewhere else and let me sleep? LOL...

Are you having Carolyn Allens (or other such establishment) come in for a dress steaming? I would imagine I would have to be up for that too.. EEK!

I just starting thinking about that today and the dress shop I am buying my dress from is steaming it for free before we leave BUT I don't know how long that will be good for ... it can easily be laid out in the back of the suv on the trip down which is only 2 1/2 - 3 hrs! Whatcha think? :confused3

I had my dress steamed the day before my wedding. Also, if you could have the dress in a (nearby) hotel room, you would not necessarily need to be present yourself for the steaming. Someone just needs to let her in the room with the dress!

I think it still may get wrinkled. Now given that I live at least 3 hours from humanity (8 from Boston) and have had to drive back to Mass to be a bridesmaid, I've never got one dress down there (and there have been 4 since I moved up here). I've always had to get it pressed or steamed. O'Course that isn't an SUV. (2007 Sentra, slightly bigger than the 2006 lol :lmao: )

What I would do is schedule the appt. just in case. Carolyn Allen's seems to have a good cancellation policy - they just require a phone call. No charge. If you get it down there without wrinkling (first off, when you write your TR, you MUST tell me how you did it!) just cancel. If it needs it, you're all set.

Of course that would prolly be a morning thing, and you know where I stand on those! hehehe :goodvibes HTH!
