We are planning our first trip home over Thanksgiving. Because we have a small child (14 mos.) and an 8 year old, my husband and I are planning to split the parks. I will go with my son to Animal Kingdom and Epcot world showcase and my hsuband will go with him to Magic Kingdom and Epcot. my husband will also be going to Epcot world showcase. So we need one adult 2 days, 1 adult 3 days and 1 child 4 days. What would be the best tickets for us to buy?

As you say, this is your "first" trip home. I assume it will not be your only trip in the near future, since you are fairly close to WDW. Look at how many days total you might be traveling in the next 365, and chose your best ticket from there. If you plan to go again in the next year, annual passes for you and DH and your 8 yo might be worthwhile. Generally, we feel we get the most bang for the buck this way, as long as you will be traveling to WDW at least 9 days in 365. If you don't plan to go again in the next 365 days, then you might want to do 5 day park hoppers (not the premium ones) and split them up as you like. I personally would not want to miss any part of the trip by having spouses split up. The baby doesn't need a ticket, so that is not a concern.

diane always has great advice - there is also a 4-day pass you could purchase - shop around - sometimes the WDW website has the best prices - sometimes other do! get your ticket before you leave - you will save a little money.
