Best Teacher Gift You Ever Received

I teach 7th grade, and my favorites are letters and notes. I keep them all and they mean a lot to me. <3 Last year, a student created a Wordle of words she thought described me and framed it. Another student made me a picture frame out of pencils and put a picture of she and I in it. I also got a gift card to Binny's (liquor store), which I thought was hilarious (and loved). My students and parents are the best.

A framed picture of my class and on the matte, the room mom had each kid do a thumb print which she then turned into hot air balloons. On the bottom of the matte she wrote a Dr. Seuss inspired thank you message. The theme of my classroom in Dr. Seuss' Oh the Places You'll Go so it is perfect and since last year's class was my very first class, I'll always have it hanging in my room.

Not a teacher teacher (but a figure skating instructor), my most shy and quiet student gave me a handmade bracelet and a note that said "thank you for being my friend" for Christmas. Still have both. My heart gets warm just thinking about it. That was hands down the sweetest gift I have ever gotten, work or not.
