Best Sushi in the Theme Parks

My DD loves sushi. Where can you get the best sushi, in your opinion, in the theme parks?

We really enjoy Tokyo Dining in Epcot. My sushi was delicious and beautifully presented. As an added bonus, you can usually walk-up or get a last minute ADR. I’m not sure why it isn’t more popular, but let’s not tell anyone else about it. Shhhhh....

I'm from vancouver, we have thousands of sushi places so my expectations might be a little high. The sushi is average and that combined with the usual disney pricing makes it a no go for me.

The sushi at the quick service place is horrible. It's the equivalent to pre made stuff in grocery stores. Depending on where OP is from you might have to adjust your expectations when looking for sushi at WDW.

I completely understand. I am from Vancouver too and we have such great, reasonably priced sushi. I am always shocked when I go somewhere else how expensive it is and how mediocre the quality is.

If you are at Epcot or Studios, and have some time in the evening, you can pop out to the Swan hotel, where they have an excellent sushi restaurant (Kimonos) that does not take reservations, it’s all walk up. They are only open for dinner, not lunch. The karaoke doesn’t start until after 9, and it’s usualy pretty quiet before then. Really great sushi, excellent service, and lots of choices for other Japanese food.

Did you consider venturing to Disney Springs or the swan? Morimoto would be my best recommendation at DS or Kimonos at the swan.

I live in a small town in GA also lol. We really enjoy RuSans in Athens and Kani House in Gwinnett. But the best Sushi we have had at Disney is at California Grill at the Contemporary. Better than Tokyo Dining which isn't bad.

Wondering if Canadians have great saba?
I was always mystified by varying qualities (mostly bad) of saba in my area at sushi joints until I had it at a few places when visiting the Fla coast. From hearsay, mackerel is one of the quickest fishes to go "off" after harvesting. It may be a similar to the case of Canadians having access to better quality salmon in some way.
Fresh salmon is usually decent imo, but you might have an even higher standard since you are closer to the source in some way? In any case, a suggestion: try the mackerel if that's something you've found to be not so great up there, hey? I honestly had no idea that mackerel could be so good until I had it on the Fla coast.

For the OP, I'm in the Kimonos camp. It's not mind blowing, but it's as good as any decent neighborhood sushi joint across the country, and it's not Disney overpriced. How I approach Kimonos is this: on their menu, some of the prices are good, and some things seem expensive. Order the stuff that is a good price, and you'll be happy, because it's really decent quality. That's where the value is, imo. No need to order the expensive stuff for me - the well priced stuff is that good.

Are there any quick service for Sushi. My daughter and I love it but the rest of the family isn't big fans of it.

I dig the sushi in Disney and I’m a bit of a sushi snob myself being in the nyc area. The spicy roll at the quick service in Japan in quite tasty as is the sushi at Tokyo dining. Kona Cafe has a quick service sushi which is also quite good. California grill sushi is REALLY good but rather pricey.

I had quick service sushi from Kona Island in Poly and it was, in my opinion, worse than grocery store sushi. Hugely expensive and sadly flavorless.

We enjoy Tokyo Dining for dining and Kona Island for a quick fix. For a splurge... California Grill has excellent sushi and a tremendous view of the MK fireworks!

We kind of gave up on sushi after we had some seriously bad quality tuna at California Grill. But this is getting me intrigued about Tokyo Dining....

I personally think Kona Island has way better sushi than Cali Grill
