Need advice on accomodation for an upcoming trip in January. We are a family of 4 - 2 adults, a 3 yo and a 10 month old. We may also be bringing my 20 yo niece as a babysitter. We need space as well as a kitchenette with sink to wash baby dishes etc. We've stayed at AKL and Radisson Resort Parkway and enjoyed both. I was leaning towards the Nickolodeon but am concerned abt some of the negative reviews.

How about Residence Inn? I have stayed at both LBV and Sea World locatons. Check the Marriott website for rates :)

I second the Residence Inn at either locaiton.

Full kitchen, full brekfast, plenty of room with a 2 br 2 bath unit.

herc.

I do enjoy Residence Inns. I've always been intrigued by the Staybridge Suites LBV, too.

We just stayed at Cypress Pointe and loved it. We paid 80 bucks (on special through Hotelkingdom.com) per night for a two bedroom with a full kitchen, living room, washer and dryer, and patio. We stayed at the Grand Villas section, but both areas seemed really nice and quite incredible for the money. I can't imagine staying anywhere else really for the value and size. The two bedroom could sleep 6 comfortably. They are located about two blocks NE of the Hotel Plaza Blvd entrance off of 535. The only downside is that there isn't any housekeeping service unless you pay extra. We did our own laundry and dishes every day. No problem for us, but some folks don't like it after a long day in the parks. I highly recommend them. In fact, I am going to book again for a week in June.

embassy suites is my fav line of hotels. They have a fridge, micro, coffee maker, sink. There is a nice table to eat at (I like getting the corner suites and the table is huge). There is a bedroom with a tv in it. There is a tv in the main room with a fold out couch, and a chair.

they have a cooked to order breakfast. This is by far the BIGGEST BF I have ever seen. You can have bacon, sausage, pancakes, french toast, and any type of egg, omlette you want, there are potatoes too. They have different types of fruit like bananas, apples oranges, melon. There is yogurt, bagals, english muffins, different types of bread and different spreads for all. There are donuts of varius kinds. pourable milk and juices, plus coffees of different varieties. There are cereals hot and cold. that is all I can remember for now. And they serve this at EVERY SINGLE embassy suites hotel. You can take your food to your room or eat there in the seating area. We like to eat in our room and put some food in the fridge for later when we come back for a snack.
There is a managers special (I think that is what it is called) from 530 or so till 7 PM that serves drinks of varies kinds and pop and juice for free. They have popcorn prezzels and a slightly spicey type of chex mix and sometimes chip and salsa all at the same time for FREE.

I love this chain of hotels. I would deff reccomend it.

Check out the Family Suites at one of Disney's All Stars (Music, I think). They are a fairly new addition to the onsite choices. There are lots of threads about them on the Disney Resorts Forum.

onsite - the DVC resorts you can rent from a DVC member. I think you can stay in a 1-bedroom - only problem bedding - only a king bed in the bedroom and a queen sleeper sofa in the livingroom. if everyone sleeps together great if not - you might consider bring an air mattress with its sheets, pillows & everything.

just don't stay fri & sat. too expensive.

offsite - Cypress Pointe is a good choice, so is Embassy suites, some people like Doubletree it is a DD hotel.

over close to where you stayed Raddison resort parkway is Vacation Villa on the parkway. they are sometimes on skyauction. I just stayed there and I though they were pretty nice for the price. just remember to use International Drive for getting back and forth to the parks.

only accept at least a 1-bedroom with a FULL kitchen - not partial.

I would also check out www.silverlakeresort.com which is right next to Animal Kingdom...but not onsite.

Windsor Hills or Windsor Palms are also very nice condo resorts that are very close to Disney.

Good luck to you.
