I'm stumped! I'm renting points from a friend for the first time. I've stayed all over in the past and I'm willing to try something new. I was considering OKW studio b/c the studios are nice and roomy and they have two beds versus one bed and sofa sleeper, but I'm a little ambivalent about the resort. I read a suggestion to bring an inflatable mattress to put on the sofa sleeper, so that is a good idea. I'm just stumped about where to stay! We also kind of drawn to Animal Kingdom (we take a car and like to drive to resorts, so proximity isn't an issue for us). Any opinions?

Hi, maryhenry! We're also in Shreveport. If I were staying in a studio, I'd always choose an OKW studio for the two queen beds and the larger bathroom. Anywhere else, and it would have to be free.

You don't mention how many of you there will be. Do you need the 2 beds, if it's just two of you (couple) a couch is nice to have in addition to the bed. Also your reference of the air mattress on the sofa sleeper, ?. OKW studios no sleeper sofa, BTW, the sleeper sofa's are very comfortable, I wish you could buy them but apparently they are made for Disney. As far as the other resorts I can't attest to the sleepers, I haven't tried them, maybe those aren't comfortable. Kidani/SSR/BLT are newer resorts but they all have the bed/sofa sleeper, I guess it all depends on where you want to be and how many of you there will be?

I love OKW! Yes, the resort is older, but the rooms are very big! I would be staying there in Aug, but thought my friends would like to try a new resort so we got a 1bdr at SSR. My only hesitation about OKW is that the buses take a long time (the resort is very big), but if you have a car than it shouldn't be a problem. OKW is also less points than the other resorts!!!!!!!! Good luck deciding!

It depends on how many of you will be staying in the room. I love having a sofa to sit on. I have back problems, so having to sit at the head of the bed to give my back support in order to watch TV is not my idea of comfortable. The bed is to sleep in. JMO

Have to disagree about OKW's bus transportation taking long time - -

in all our stays at OKW it was rare if it took a long time. We've

had little to no waits.

We've had longer bus rides from the Epcot resorts because BWV, BCV,

YC/BC & Swan/Dolphin often share bus.

SSR is large resort too and I wouldn't say that their bus is any quicker

than OKW's.

If you are looking for a nice relaxing resort, I would go with OKW. If you are looking for more activity, I would look elsewhere. My home resort is Boardwalk and I love all the activity on the boardwalk, especially at night. Lots of restaurant choices, walk or boat to both Epcot and DHS. I've stayed at AKV a couple of times, that is a unique experience being able to see animals from your room. They have alot of activities for kids around the resort.
