Best sit down for first night??

Our original plans were to do chef mickey late (9pm) since we were going to be getting in around 3-4pm. Plans have changed and we will be getting in around 11, dropping stuff at hotel and hitting the parks. That being said where or what should we do? Fantasmic dinner package is open, HDDR is, but I can check back daily if something is super awesome we should do the first day. Thanks so much!!

Hoop dee do would be fun on the first night!

I would not do Hoop Dee Doo on arrival day night. Travel day is very tiring. I think you would be too tired to really enjoy it.
Which park are you planning on that day? Where are you staying? Personally, I would get a nice CS meal in the park I am in, or choose the restaurant at my resort. Arrival night is usually a low key night where we unpack and settle it, getting ready for a full week of go, go, go

HDDR would be a cool way to start a WDW vacation! We used to always go to Ohana our 1st night and really enjoyed that.

We are doing HDDR our arrival day - we are not doing parks that day and figured that would be a fun way to start our vacation!

Not sure if you have little ones but depending on the time of your dinner ( it wouldn't work if it was the late show) if you do HDDR afterwards you can see the Chip and Dale sing along or catch the movie under the stars at Fort Wilderness! You could also go down to the beach at and catch Wishes from there! The music is piped in and the view of course is a bit obstructed but any of those would be free and fun after! We love FW!
