Best sippy cup for Disney?

Ok, is there a really good cup out there that is maybe insulated and holds a lot that doesn't leak? I just cannot decide what one would be good to take. We are going in Aug. Thanks!

My preference is the take n toss kind. They do have them with the insulation. I like them b/c they are easy to clean and with fewer parts esp. if you are washing sippies in a sink! And they aren't as expensive, so if it gets left or lost no biggie.

I think its Playtex that makes what looks like an insulated cup. They come in a two pack. For girls they have princess, and boys Buzz Lightyear. Perfect for Disney! Another idea if you cant get one thats insulated-Ive used those neoprene coozis to keep drinks cold, plus they absorb the "sweat" off the cups.

I use the throw aways. They last longer than the trip and if I lose them no biggie. Kmart has princess ones and theirs are spill proof. They have spiderman for the boys also.

We have some insulated cups by The First Years that I really like a lot. They don't have a valve, just a little slit in the spout. I have heard that eventually the slit will "loosen up" and they will leak; but so far we've had no trouble with them. I have seen Nemo, Elmo, Thomas the Tank and I think Disney Princess ones. They are really easy to clean. I will be taking these (or some new ones! LOL) on our October trip!

I second playtex cups, i just bought my dd's some since they are princess cups my older dd (4) helps my younger dd (2) keep track of them b/c she doesn't want to loss the princess cups at all!!! LOL The keep stuff cold a lot longer then the use and toss kind and will stay leak proof when many other will only for a short amount of time...

Another vote for the throw away kind. First time we did regular cups...a pain...learned lesson and took throw away ever since. Easy to clean, can throw away (duh) and they are light weight.

I would also say the toss style since soo many get lost while at the parks!

I just use our same old Gerber or Playtex ones from home-they never leak on me. I fill it in the morning at the resort with milk, then put it in a ziploc baggie (gallon size) with some ice. I carry that in my tote bag. That keeps the milk cold till lunchtime. Then at lunch I rinse it out, then fill it with more milk (and new ice) or with just water or juice which wouldn't need the ice...depends on what I want my little one drinking at the time. (Same thing at dinner.) Then at the end of the day I give it a thorough wash in our room and let it air dry overnight. I took two sippy's on the last trip, and this worked well for me.

I dont remember the name brand but I think that I got them from walmart, they are the cups that you can stick in the freezer they actually have a core part that freezes in the middle of the cup(you cant take it out). it worked great in the park when we went. we just put it in the fridge in the hotel room and the next morning it was good to go.

I like the take 'n toss also, I just didn't know if there were big ones that would hold a lot. My favorite are the Munchkin that you freeze, but w/ no freezer I needed some other ideas. We also use the 1st yr ones w/ no valve. I love these. But also they don't hold as much as others. My ds can drink a ton in one sitting if he's thirsty.

That's a great idea about the gallon bag filled w/ ice to keep them cool. I never thought of that. I thought of a small cooler, but didn't want to go there. Thanks.

My ds just gave up the bottle one night right before he turned one. He drank all the milk in his bottle and wanted more. I had a sippy already filled and gave him that. He took it and we never looked back. That was it for bottles. So no advice here. Good luck though.

I found at a sporting goods store, a small version of a sports bottle. They had blue and pink with a Nike swoosh on it. And they had straps around it that velcro on, with a hook. I bring them for my 5 and 2 yr olds whenever we go somewhere, disney, zoo, whatever. Its easier than having to deal w/the older one w/a can or bottle of water or something too. And being a sports bottle it doesn't really leak either.

And, they have Cars ones out now, too! We use these cups pretty much exclusively - at home or on the road.

We had a hard time trying to find a sippy cup that was easy to suck because of DD didn't have the strength to suck real hard. After buying at least 1 of every cup on the market (or maybe it just seemed like it ) We finally found the Nuby brand at Walmart. She tried it, loved it, never wanted her bottle again! It has a really flexible spout and no extra vents to wash. Give those a try!

To prevent my DD from tossing her cup out of the stroller I got some cup staps. One end velcros around the cup, the other either velcros or loops itself around the stroller frame. I also use them for her toys and we havent lost one yet! The Right Start is where I got mine.

That's a great idea. I wish someone sold them around where I live b/c I don't have enough time to order them now w/out paying a ton for shipping. I'll keep an eye out for them though just in case.

Have you taken out the rubber stopper? It makes it much easier to drink. However, they can spill a little.

You could probably make your own cup leash. You could try those long velcro strips (do one end around the cup, other around the stroller), or ribbon, or string......
