Hello!

My family and I have been to Disneyland many times, and the one thing I have always had a difficult time doing is finding a shuttle service from SNA to our hotel.
I'm not looking for fancy...money is my biggest thing (I need to save it to buy corn dogs and churros! Priorities lol... popcorn:: )

So, whoever out there that has had good shuttle experience on the cheap, tell me about it!

Thanks!

Just wondering here too. :confused3 We'll be there next week and plan to just take the Disneyland Resort Express. Seems like the simplest thing to do since you don't need reservations. Any better ideas? :)

You know, I've used Karmel Shuttle and Super Shuttle for different things in the past, but a few months ago I used a service called Sav-On Shuttle (you can find them online) when I needed to go to the Catalina Express in Long Beach.

Sav-On Shuttle is a no-frills kind of operation. They're not fancy - I'm not even sure if they send out confirmations via e-mail - but the service was good and the price was lower than I would have gotten by using Karmel or Super Shuttle.

I stumbled upon Sav-On Shuttle because they were listed (along with Karmel) in the Catalina Island Visitors Guide, except that Sav-On was named as the favorite, which surprised me.

The guy who runs Sav-On Shuttle - John - was also the one who picked me up and took me home. He was very pleasant, on time and I had no complaints at all. In fact, I told him that I would recommend their service on the DIS if anyone ever asked which shuttle place they should use...so I'm recommending them! They take people to DLR and nearby hotels all the time.

We have always used Super Shuttle when flying into SNA and have been pleased with the service. My biggest concern has always been in getting to the airport on time and they have been prompt and never late. I would definitely use them again.

I like Karmel the best so far. I haven't used sav-on, though, just Karmel, SuperShuttle, and the Express.

My concern is how many stops you have to make to get to the hotel. We get in late and I'd like to get someone little to bed ASAP!

Does anyone know which hotel the Disneyland Resort Express stops at first? That would be good to know. Thanks! :)

That is true, especially on a late flight. I should have mentioned that we opted to pay a few dollars more to reserve the van just for our group of 6. I dont recall the exact amount but it was worth it

We just booked a Karmel shuttle for November and it was $177 round trip. It's a private van (the shared van would have been just over $100).

Last trip we did the Disneyland Express, which was good (but seemed to take forever stopping at every hotel).

Based on our experience last week, I wouldn't recommend SuperShuttle. We were left waiting outside at 10 pm at the Long Beach Airportfor over an hour (along with about 25 other people). It was nearly impossible to get through to SuperShuttle, and when we did, they took our number to call back and basically left us hanging for about 2.5 hours. We tried contacting their customer service department and got no response. They did pick us up on time to take us back to the hotel, however (but it left me worrying about it the whole trip).

Last time we took it, it stopped at the GCH first. The HOJO was 3rd or so (and Ramada Maingate after that).

madmaxx........That should work out great for us since we're staying at the GCH villas! We'll be there next week. Can't wait! Thanks. :)

Have fun!

We used Karmel from the hotel to the airport in May since we had to be at the airport very very early. There was only one other people in the shuttle with us, and we got to SNA in about 40mins or so. The driver was nice and chatty, but not so much since we were 2/3rds asleep. We are taking the Disneyland express this time since we are staying at DLH and it is the last stop before heading back to the airport.
