We did the under 2 flags island tour, at least I think that was th ename of it. Our guide was not very good, you could not understand anything he said most of the time. They do narrate about the area you see, but between his accent and the poor quality of his microphone it was hopeless.
WE did see a lot of the island on this tour, the bus was comfortable and air conditioned. The 3 scenic stops we had were nice, but most of the island is very dirty and run down. I'm not knocking these people, I know they are very low income, just wanted you to know that part of this tour is very depressing to see. I'm glad we did it the first time as we did get a real feel for the culture there, but we didnt repeat it when we went back again. We just explored the shops near the docks. Our daughter took her family to the butterfly farm and it was very nice, the kids loved it, and they went on most of the same roads as we did and they did the same shopping stop as us.
What ever you decide, be sure and take your own bottled water as you'll not find water fountains anywhere since fresh water is an expensive item, it is in big demand there. Not much of it. Beer was really cheap, much less than water, or so we were told by our guide. There are some great buys on both islands. If you shop remember that the only free bathrooms are in the casinos, the public restrooms will charge you to use them. There is a free rest stop on every tour, but if you go on your own you will have to pay unless you find a casino. Take a couple of $1 with you just in case.
