Best shoes to wear with dresses at Disney?

I have to admit, I am about comfort. My girls and I wear our runners everywhere we go. At least for the girls, their princess dresses cover the shoes, but with my sun dresses it does look silly. But we are either coming from a park or going to a park after and for 7 to 10 days I can look silly if it means my feet hurt a little less.

Chacos ZX3 Sandals - or - Teva Tirras. These are what oldest DD and I wore with dresses on our last trip. They look cute but perform as good as my Nike crosstrainers for support (no blisters) and are good for rainy weather as well.

We have high arches, and vans/flip-flops/flat sandals give us blisters and sore feet in general if we try to wear them when walking a lot.

I wear sandals and flip flops with my dresses - just normal cute sandals, not the ones that are designed for walking, they don't look delicate enough on me to wear with a dress. I just make sure they are sandals that I have already worn around a lot so I know they are comfortable and already well broken in. Brands that have always worked well for me are Sperry's, Sam Edelman, and Tory Burch. I am a bit obsessive about my outfits at WDW so I usually wear a different pair of shoes everyday which helps keep my feet in good shape. I always bring a TON of "foot supplies" in case any of us get a hot spot or rogue blister - Blister Healing pads are amazing. I sometimes stick a blister healing pad on the ball of my foot, it seems to give me just enough cushion in sandals that aren't very padded.

I love wearing sandals in the parks. I like that if I ride a water ride my feet dry quickly and I don't have to deal with wet socks/shoes(I'm cringing just thinking about wet socks after Splash Mountain). Toms, keds, vans, or converse also look cute with casual dresses and might give you more support when walking around all day if that is a concern for you.

I second both Vionic and Chacos...if it wasn't for them, I wouldn't make it half a day. If you need arch support, those will give it to you! I wear the thong sandals with no back strap for comfort in the heat of October, but for winter guests, Chacos make some mad comfy boots, too!

When we went last year I bought a pair of sandals made by Abeo. They held up great! And my feet never hurt. Plus we went through several rainstorms and they dried completely overnight and not 1 blister. I paid more for them but I am very happy with them and still wear them everywhere.

Toms, Sanku yoga mat padded Flip flops. Its your feet though so you should wear what makes you happy.

I wear Croc Cleo sandals every day. I have about 6 pair of this style:

Unfortunately they don't make as many colors as they used to but they make several other styles that would work. These are just my favorites.

Disney? wear whatever you are comfortable in. I've seen vans, converse, sandals, flip flops .... just about anything. If you are comfortable that is all that matters. :thumbsup2
