best shoes for toddler for disney - crocs or

Even though I am a huge fan of Crocs, I don't think I would recommend them for a toddler at WDW. When I have seen younger children wear them, they seem to be clumsy and trip because of the traction the shoe creates. I would think tennis shoes would be the best choice. HTH.

I plan on having my two year old wear her crocs in May. She wore them nonstop on our Oct trip and did fine. No blisters, no complaining. Whatever you choose though just have your toddler wear them on walks and stuff for a while before you leave. Have a great trip!

My kids love thier crocs. I love them at the parks, mainly for the water issue...
Most of the parks will have a water feature of some type for the kids to run aorund in, but they still have to wear shoes, so if you don't happen to have a spare pair of shoes in the stroller, you kiddos have wet shoes all day. same thing goes for those lovely Florida Downpours. Your poncho will keep you dry, but what about your feet?
This trip we are trying out the crocklings, I have heard good things about them, and that they can stay on a little better. we had a few issues with DD kicking off her shoes while in the backpack.

If your kids are used to wearing Crocs, they are the way to go! Like PP said, they can get wet with no worries. You can wear them with or without socks. You can clean them easily when they get dirty. They are super comfortable. But they are a little different than regular shoes, so I wouldn't put them on on Day 1 of WDW!

As a PP said, the croclings do tend to stay on better - I would highly recommend them!

You didn't mention the age of you toddler, so it depends on the stage of walking they are in. When we were @ WDW in Dec, there were thousands of kids with crocs on. However, my DD was only 15 mths at the time and she wouldn't have faired as well in crocs. She would have stumbled a lot with out the added support of a walking shoe. So she wore her white walking shoes most of the time.

Take shoes that your child is used to wearing and they are comfortable in. Make sure you have backups, because accidents do happen. You never know when another's dropped drink will splash and soil.

Have a great time!
