I have a pair of the cleo crocs, but I am looking for something a little different. I have heard about the chaco sandals. Are they comfortable? Where can you buy them online at a good price? Any other sandal that you reccommend?

Thanks

Best shoes, a good pair of broken in tennis shoes. Why would you wear anything else?

I was really interested in some type of sandal. I do not like tennis shoes anyways because they make my feet so hot and not to mention water rides.

Ah, well, in that case, I *highly* recommend Keens. They are not cutesy sandals, but they are amazingly comfortable and supportive, and do well if they get wet.

I walked all over St. Thomas in a pair, after snorkelling all morning, and had no problems in either situation.

Sayhello

Personally I can't stand hot tennis shoes down there. My favorites are Teva Mush flip flops or Montrail Molokini flip flops. Now, cheap flip flops don't have enough support to wear at WDW all day, but the Teva and Montrail's are wonderful.:cloud9: My feet just love them.

Well I just ordered the adara crocs in black. I think I will like them pretty well since they can dry within minutes if they get wet. They also look quite comfortable.

I am a huge Croc fan for Disney trips. Even my husband and MIL have designated Croc shoes for our Disney trips. They have so many styles now, too. Not just the uber ugly original style. Super supportive, comfortable and dries instantly if they get wet.:goofy:

Another vote for Keen's! Check into the Newport or Newport H20 style.....I've had mine for over 3 years!

I used to swear by a pair of broken in tennis shoes but the past few trips it has been crocs. They are great. I have arthritis in both ankles and I can't even tell with the crocs on. I love going to disney and not having pain in my feet!!!!!

Another vote for Keens! I wore mine trekking all over San Francisco and Disney. Very comfortable.

I was going to reply to this post when I saw the recommendations for Keens. I looked them up and they do look comfy. I have to look into these for a second pair of shoes for our next trip!

Otherwise, I would highly recommend going to your local Wal Mart and picking up a pair of their Dr. Scholls sneakers. I bought a pair right before our trip in April and they were the best investment ever! I believe they were only around $25 too!

I bought Merrell Senise sandals the week before our trip. I put them on and LOVED them. I wore them everyday on the trip- I got them in brown so they went with everything. My hubby commented and asked why I was wearing sandals (they look like flip flops) and my feet would hurt- my feet never hurt. I didn't know about Merrell until I read these boards. Your best bet might be going at the end of the day and trying on different shoes to see what feels best for you because what works well for one might not be the best for your feet.

Have a fun time!

We just got back yesterday and I brought my well-broken Nikes, my Mary Jane Crocs, and my Crocs sandals (I think they are Cleos?). First day, I wore the Nikes and ended up with a small blister on the side of my heel and VERY sore feet. Next day, I wore my Mary Janes and had no pain whatsoever after our long day at MK/DHS. I switched between the Mary Janes and the sandals and had no problems whatsoever until we switched resorts. Because I wasn't thinking, I packed the Crocs and decided to wear the Nikes. I had the WORST time the next day in Epcot - soreness in my feet that went up my legs, EXTREME lower back pain (I have scoliosis in my lower back), and a nice-sized blister on the bottom of my little toe. I was never so happy to see a pair of Crocs as I was when our bags were brought up to our new room! Had no problems the next day...

So, long story short...Crocs advocate here!

I will be wearing my Crocs Athens. The most comfortable shoe ever. Not sure what I'm gonna do when cold weather gets here.

my dh and I both have chacos and we are getting our daughter a pair when she leaves for college. I love them they are comfortable and durable we have had and worn ours for 2 years now and they show no sign of wear and we do alot in them, from everyday wear to camping to vacationing and you can through them in the washer and wash them easily. Just a vote for chacos but I haven't tried keens.

I guess it really depends on you. My experience was the opposite of dis75ney. I packed my skechers tennis shoes as an emergency shoe. I also hate wearing tennis shoes and socks when its hot. Hate it. I also brought my crocs mary janes and capris. My first day was a half day, and the mj were great. The next day I wore the capris, and those annoying circulation nubs killed my feet by the end of the day. And my feet just hurt. A no more walking hurt. The next day I went back to the mj. I wore a small footie with them that just covered the bottom of my feet and toes. Not bad, but again, at the end of the day I hurt bad. Day 3 I wore the tennis shoes I swore I wouldn't wear, and they were perfect. Not too hot, and my feet felt awsome all day.
I will try a new sandal next time- thought about fit flops, but I will prob just end up in tennis shoes again.

When I first read this on the Dis Boards, I have been a BELIEVER ever since.
For the past 4 years, we have sworn by this combo !!!

1. The standard "Beach" style croc is the Best!!!
2. But we go in December & pair the croc with.............
3. A brand new fresh pair of all cototn socks.
4. BodyGlide all over the top/bottoms/sides of our feet before applying the BodyGlide.

I can only speak from 4 years of absolute BLISS when it comes to our feet & legs after walking all day (we are commandos), it is HEAVEN !!!!
NO pain in the legs or feet when you go to bed or even the next morning !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The advice of using worn in sneakers does NOT work when you are on your feet all day, but Crocs, BodyGlide, & fresh all cotton socks is truly our FAMILY SECRET !!!!!!!!!:santa: :santa: :santa:

Sorry, but Crocs are still the best shoe for WDW. Waterproof and comfy. None of my family has had blisters since we switched to them. You can wash them in the shower, too. They might be ugly, but IMHO these shoes are built for a week at WDW.
