Best shelf-stable food for room that can be packed in suitcase?

One thing I took the last trip was Rice Crispy Treats (the individually wrapped ones). Along with fruit chews, granola bars.

The indivdual PB packs are a great idea. I put a lot of the individually wrapped things in my checked baggage and nothing happened to them and no explosions in my suitcase.

Depending on when you go, do not put trail mix with chocolate in your bag for the park. I had a friend take some and it all melted into a glob with the heat (and it was April and not too warm and raining every day).

We bring granola bars, cheese crackers, trail mix (like above, no chocolate because it will melt!), and usually some small packages of cookies.

One thing I discovered recently are Pepperidge Farm Goldfish Cookies. they come in different flavors like chocolate brownie, vanilla cupcake, and s'mores. They're really tasty, and easy to pack.

I also like Pepperidge Farm Goldfish Pretzel crackers. In fact, I like to add them to my homemade trail mix (nuts, raisins, M&Ms, and pretzel goldfish). Another great take-along snack.
