Best service at a deluxe...

Whe deluxe resort, in your opinion, has the best service for non-concierge guests?

I have to "write-in" my vote for the S/D. We've always had great service here!

Of those you listed, I voted for YC. I also would say both the Swan & Dolphin had the best overall service of the deluxe we've stayed at.

Services -

Having recently returned from the Swan, we have to agree with jwfla422 and lfountain that the services there are great. The concierge desk in the lobby is open to all the guests of the hotel. The staff there was just fantastic as were the CMs at the Disney desk right next to it.

As far as the deluxes you listed we have only stayed at the BWI and found the staff there to be extremely helpful also.

Over the years we've stayed at Cont, Poly, BC, YC, AKL & S/D (as well as moderates and POP). Last week was the first time at GF and even though I've read lots of negative experiences - mostly concierge - my visit was perfect and the CM's the best yet (all but one).

Having said that, I did LOVE my stay at the Dolphin - all 4 times - the staff there was super friendly and helpful and we kept remarking how they seemed to have more Disney spirit and service than Disney resorts!! I would stay there again in heartbeat - IF - the price was right, but will not pay the same for S/D as GF or Poly.

We've tried Beach Club and the Poly, but still manage to find our way back to WL! For us, the service feels more intimate and personal. Here is just one example!:A friend of ours had a daughter who wasn't feeling well, so her mom went down to the Mercantile to find aspirin etc. Apparently, the CM asked who it was for...so she said her daughter was in bed sick while dad and DD #2 went to the park! A few hours later, there is a knock at the door, and in walks Minnie with balloons and writing paper for the "under the weather" daughter. These are little personal touches, the CMs at WL always seem to create to make the magic real!
