best route from autotrain?

We will be taking the autotrain on our next trip in Feb. 04. What is the best route from Sanford to the WDW area .. We will be staying a the Marriott Cypress Harbor (not sure of the adddress exactly0-I think it is near international drive.

I thought 417 would be better than I-4. Any experiences you can share/ ( We will be arriving on a friday)

We've always just jumped on I-4 towards the Disney Area. It's only a few miles west of the AutoTrain station. I think 417 is over 20 miles (I think)to the east. If I remember correctly, it takes about 40 minutes to get to the Disney Hotels.

We always take I-4 when we drive down frm NY via I-95. we always seem to hit traffic around Orlando (city of). Of course the traffic does not compare to NYC traffic, but when you get so close to WDW and then have to sit outside of Orlando it is frustrating. I didn't think 417 was that far off course from Sanford.

DVC Chris-we are just north of you in Rockland. Do you drive or have you taken the auto train before?

The 417 does go through Sanford now with the expansion that opened just last Spring. You would need to head a little south from the Amtrak station but it would not be hard to pick up the 417.

I live about 15 Mins. south of you in Bergen cty. We have taken the Auto-Train on our last 4 trips. I have not done the drive to Disney yet. The farthest south we've gone on 95 is Hilton Head, SC.
