I have just book outside of my comfort zone to take advantage of a great air fare. We usually stay at the BCV and The Contemp. but they were not avail. So what I need help with is where are the best places to stay on these property's. I have a split stay WL first part of the trip and Polly for the second. I had some banked pts that were going to exp so I figured that I would try the Polly for a couple of nights too. Advise any one???

You're staying at the VWL? What type of villa are you getting? Just about all of them have a woods view, a few have a pool view and fewer still have a slight view of the lake through the trees.

And one studio at VWL has no balcony ;)

What room category did you reserve at the Polynesian? And where do you think you will be going while there? MK and Epcot, all parks? Will you have a car?

Anyway there are advantages to almost every longhouse at the Polynesian.

Our son and his wife got that studio without a balcony at VWL for their very first DVC stay! Of course, it was just one night before a cruise.

We currenly have a garden view at the Poly and a 1 bed room at the WLV.....I am hoping that a lagoon view opens up a the Poly. I am traveling with a 3yr old and 5 yr old so we do travel with strollers. We do do to the MK often. Thanks for the help!:cutie:

Strollers plural does it! I would request Tokelau. Tahiti, Tokelau and Rapa Nui have larger rooms... 476 sq ft as opposed to 415. Tahiti is great for lagoon view but it is the farthest longhouse from the main building. One side of Rapa Nui has beautiful garden views but the other faces a parking lot although there is pretty vegetation on that side too. That lot is extremely convenient if you will be driving a lot but if going to the MK most of the time, you won't need it.

It is also easy with strollers to walk to the TTC and roll right onto the ferry. Or do that coming back from the MK. You also want to make that short walk if going to Epcot. You'll be in FW as fast as if you were staying at the Epcot resorts.

But Tahiti is close to the TTC - just a stroll down the path. And it does have nice views of the MK if you get a lagoon view.

I second this reccomendation. Any of those longhouses he mentions are a short walk to the TTC & the EPCOT monorail line. And of course the MK monorail line is right out front. :goodvibes

Our last trip we had a (garden view) room in Rapa Nui & our son mainly rode in his stroller. WE loved loved loved the POLY & would so like to be going back soon. If you ask my 4 year old son what his favorite hotel is & prould announces "The Polynesian!" :rotfl:

Have you checked out tikiman's site yet? Check it out to get yourself jazzed up about staying at the Poly. :cool1:
Ahh, shoot. Looks like I can't post links yet, google tikiman + polynesian he oughta come up.
