am going to grand floridian in february of 2006, and have reserved a total of three rooms. have been told that we can ask for specific rooms in advance. We would like rooms with a view of the castle, and already have lagoon view. does anyone have a knowledge of what rooms are the best? And what system works best in trying to get rooms requested?

Since you have lagoon view booked already, I would simply request a specific building. Both Sago Cay and Conch Key have unobstructed MK views. You can request this on your reservation and then follow up with a fax to the resort about 3 days prior to your arrival. It's not advisable to ask for certain room numbers, better to be a little more broad and offer the room assignor more choices.

We stayed in Sago Cay in 2000 with a GREAT view of the castle. When we were in WDW last week, I noticed a BIG tree right in front of 4-5 rooms in Conch. Don't know if they have plans to scale it back, but it looked like it might obstruct some of the views. :confused3
