Best rooms at BC

Are there rooms at the BC where you could view the Illuminations fireworks and have a full balcony? Also do all rooms sleep 5, are some standard rooms larger than others? I'm getting close to booking but as I look at the map, I'm not sure that upgrading to water view would give me the view I am hoping for. Also what areas would be non smoking? I want to have a pretty good idea of where my 'dream' room would be before I put together a room request. Any other rooms I may want to know about?

I'm basically replying to bump your thread up because we're going 7/2 - 7/9 and we need a little room request advice. We booked a standard view this time. In the past we've had waterviews (stayed there 2 other times). The water views don't necessarily give you an Illuminations view. In fact, neither of the two water views we had did. I'm interested to hear the respones to this question. One thing to be careful of...not all rooms have full balconies. Some are standing balconies. We always request a patio or full balcony.

I would say they sleep 5 - two beds and a daybed for a child.

Does anyone have detailed info on the rooms and locations? Sort of like Tikiman has for the Poly.

There are standard rooms on the far side of the resort which would have a view of Illuminations. I always request a room with a "full balcony" so as to avoid the standing room only ones.

Thanks, crazy4wdw, that is what I needed. So, it looks like a standard view would be the way to go and then to ask for epcot view on my request??
