Its been a year since my last cruise, so can someone refresh my memory on what you consider to be the best room service menu items? And also I know there are some things not on the menu that you can order like Mickey Bars and uncrustables, anything else? Thanks!

Since I'll be on the cruise with you... :)

I always make a point to get the All Hands on Deck cheese platter. It's got a wonderful variety of cheeses to try. We get at least one every cruise.

See you in about two weeks... :goodvibes

cheese steak sandwich (without peppers for me) - better at the beginning of the cruise than the end for ? reason.

BLT

Thanks, yes see you in 2 weeks! I can't believe its finally here!!!

We get the cheese platter that comes with grapes. I liked the tortilla roll up sandwich for lunch and the steak sandwich. The salads are pretty good too!

Can you order sandwiches in the morning to take off the ship for lunch on excursions? Or has DCL found a way around that strategy?

My DW really likes the BLT sandwich that is on the room service menu.

We have two teens and so we would order two of the cheese plates every night and go up on deck 9 and get sodas and put in the fridge for them to have when the teen club closed and they came back in the room. They were always starving at that time (like 1 or 2 in the morning).

So they seemed to really like the cheese plate (but it could have been that they were so hungry they would eat anything at that point).

DS loves the tripple decker grilled cheese sandwhiches (which aren't on the menu) and of course the Mickey Bars. DH and I like to get the All Hands on Deck cheese plate and grapes and open a bottle of wine in the stateroom to curb our appetites before the show (we have late dining).

A quick online search found this from August 2008:

I seem to remember it being bigger than that, though.

The cheese plates vary depending on who is putting them together. The cheese varies and so do the crackers.

Just got off of the Magic this morning! We ordered several All Hands on Deck cheese platters. I always like to request mine with extra Brie and crackers since I just love the Brie they serve on board.

I also tried the BLTs for the first time on this cruise and they were wonderful! Can't believe it took me 3 cruises to experience them! We didn't order the Mickey Ice Cream bars from room service this time since you can get them in the restaurants for dessert. Don't know if it was a usual thing, but the folks at our table got them every night with Raspberry sauce on top of them.

I know I should not have started looking at this thread>>> at work and hungry now.

Vegi lasagna and steak fries, mmmmmmmmmmmm
I used to order it then take it up on deck for lunch.

What's special about the BLT ? Are warm foods warm when they arrive ?
What's the best thing to order for breakfast ? :rolleyes1

In the cat. 4-12 cabins you can only order continental food for b'fast or any other food listed on the room service menu; muffins, donuts, fruit, toast, english muffins, bagels, croissants and cereals. They do not serve hot b'fast foods from room service.

Depends on the time of day and how busy they are if warm foods arrive warm.
