Best Room Service Items?

We ordered the uncrustables from RS so we could take them out on Nassau day but they were all really dry and yucky. We loved the cheese platter and the mickey bars.

What's special about the BLT ? Are warm foods warm when they arrive ?
What's the best thing to order for breakfast ?

I don't know if anything makes the BLT really special, but it is a triple-decker sandwich and it is quite tasty.

We don't usually order hot food, but when we have, it has been warm when it arrived.

Only those guests staying in suites (categories 1 - 3) can order hot breakfast or from the dining room menus at dinner. Guests in categories 1 and 2 can also order room service dinner from Palo.

If that is a question, then the answer is yes. Guests staying in the suites can order breakfast from the Lumierre's/Triton's breakfast menu, except for the last morning. On the last morning suite guests can order from the normal continental breakfast menu, but the order must be called in the night before.

I love, love, love the tuna sandwich....weird, I know, but it's great!

Also the "cake of the day" is a good bet...but maybe we're just easy to please!! We have only been on 3 and 4 night cruises so there never seems to be enough time for room service!!

When we stayed in a cat 1, 2 or 3 the lunch menu from Lumieres was included in the room service book. I don't know if it has changed in the last year though. Otherwise you can order from the standard room service menu for lunch. No Palo brunch if you are in a cat 1 or 2 or at least we were told no because we were curious not wanting to order.

I concur with the Cheese plate. It's a great snack. As is a plateful of chocolate chip cookies.

If you order the cheese plate thru the gifts and amenities on DCL's website there is a charge - it's a much nicer version. If you order it thru room service there's no charge, just remember to tip the server.

We usually kept a plate full of chocolate chip cookies in the room for DD (yep - DD - that's my story and I'm sticking with it ).

I love the cheese platter. DH loves the BLTs (minus the T's ). And DD tries to eat hamburgers and fries every morning for breakfast!!
DH has also ordered the steak sandwiches made anyway you wish. So he usually gets fried onions, mushrooms and mayo but no cheese.
Oh and DD wanted grapes every day. Every day we would call room service and they would send up a bowl of grapes. I have no idea why but she wanted grapes. Maybe that's why she never ate those cookies. Darn healthy kid!

I remember, brie, gouda, cheddar, swiss, blue cheese and a baby bell (red waxed little cheese), some grapes and different crackers everytime. I don't think we ever got 2 cheese plates that were the same. The last couple times we've gotten it we've just asked for the cheddar and baby bells with crackers and grapes. I didn't want to waste and they are good about changing up some ingredients to things if they are available to them.

My one wish is that they would change their soups up. Although the chicken and tortilla tended to taste different everyday it would be nice if one soup changed everyday. Soups such a nice warm, soothing snack before bed.

Did you get a choice when you ordered yours. They just brought two plain and two chocolate covered ones when I ordered them. I prefer only the chocolate covered so will specify on our next trip.

Yes!!! I was about to buy a box from the concessions stand near the theater and was told that I could order them through room service to save $10. The only "cost" is the room service delivery tip.
